Girls Night Out: Eva Mendes, Jessica Biel and Rachel Weisz Make Directorial Debut

Jessica Biel, Eva Mendes and Rachel Weisz go from being stars in front of the camera to being the ones in charge behind the camera. The trio made their directorial debut at Glamour magazine's “Reel Moments” – the mags annual celebration of female directors – in L.A. Monday night (October 25)

This years “Reel Moments” – held at the Directors Guild of America – was a series of three short films based on woman’s stories written by Glamour readers.  Mendes directed California Romanza starring Christina Ricci,  Biel directed Sodales – a story about the friendship of two young girls and Weisz worked on The Thief.

Glamour was definitely the theme of the evening. Jess totally nailed the edgy-glam look with her black laced Oscar de la Renta dress accessorized with a chic black patent leather belt and black clutch. Eva went with more of a subtle-glam approach in a cream Lela Rose bustier dress and metallic pumps.  They were absolutely radiant!

Weisz wasn't able to attend but Demi Moore – who has shown a movie in the past – was there to show her support. She also tweeted:

“Celebrating this years Glamour Reel Moments directorial debuts of 3 amazing women Jessica Biel Eva Mendes & Rachel Weisz! Great work ladies! "

Moore, as usual, looked stunning giving the honorees of the night a run for their money. The timeless beauty showed up baring skin in a plunging blouse, leather-look leggings, black pumps and a simple black blazer to give the ensemble a touch of class.

Congratulations to these very talented women and may this be the first step in a long prosperous directing career!
