Ok, we’re officially freaked out! The pix that hit the web today of Eva Longoria Parker standing next to her figure from Madame Tussauds’ Wax Museum are making us think she’s got a twin no one’s ever heard about.
Sporting the same dress Eva wore to the Alma Awards, a glistening smile, and flowing brown hair, Longoria 2.0 got tons of media attention when it was unveiled in Vegas this past week. Even hubby Tony Parker got snapped with a confused look on his face when posing next to the doppelganger.
But of course, it’s all in good fun and obvious that Eva brought along her trademark sense of humor when she posed for side-by-side pictures. With the finale of Hispanic Heritage Month on the horizon, the wax figure unveiling was done as a gesture to honor Longoria Parker and her charitable contributions within the past few weeks.
So now we’re wondering, where in the Museum will the new Eva go? We think she’d look great next to Snoop Dogg and Madonna in the Icons Room. But shouldn't there be a 'waxified' Tony P. in there to keep her company?

Get ready for full-blown awards season. We’ve got the Latin Grammys cooking up in Vegas, the EMAs scheduled in roughly four weeks, and now the American Music Awards set to take place November 21! Just this past week, the AMA nominations were announced and we’re expecting a heated competition between Latino estrellas Shakira, Enrique Iglesias, and Daddy Yankee.
Oh yeah, there will be plenty of Latino love happening at this year’s AMAs. They even got a few Tr3s faves to reveal the nominations. Demi Lovato and Taio Cruz made the announcements in downtown L.A. on Tuesday (October 12) and, as expected, top artists like Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, and Eminem got the most attention.
In case you’re wondering how the AMAs differ from the Grammys, this awards show is decided strictly by the fans. Yeah the Grammys get the “respect”, but they’ll often pick winners based on the opinions of frou frou critics vs. mass public appeal.
Not here. The AMAs encourage fan participation and have even set up a category (the Breaktrhough Artist Award) which will based on texts from people watching at home. Taio Cruz happens to be up for that one, so we KNOW who you’ll be voting for, right?
The other big one we’re excited about is 2010’s Favorite Latin Artist. Shakira, Enrique, and Daddy Yankee are all up for this award, which means it’s going to be a TOUGH one to decide. Shakira had her “Waka Wakas,” Enrique’s riding high on “I Like It,” and Daddy Yankee…well, his talent goes without saying. Can’t they just declare this category a three-way tie?

Kraft Foods kicked off “Huddle to Fight Hunger”, a national hunger relief campaign whose goal is to donate at least 20 million meals to Feeding America. Also reaching out for our help, specifically Latinos, is Comida Kraft – Kraft Foods' Hispanic division.
More than 49 million Americans struggle with hunger every year and more than 16 million children don’t get enough nutritious foods to help them learn and grow. In an effort combat this problem, Kraft and power brands: Planters nuts, Oreo cookies, Ritz crackers, Kool-Aid beverages, Oscar Mayer meats and Maxwell House coffee have huddled together to launch an integrated marketing campaign to encourage charitable giving. How do they plan to lure you in? Incentives, incentives, and more incentives.
The “Haz Equipo cantra el Hambre” campaign has a dedicated Spanish-language website which features Chicago Bears guard Roberto Garza, where consumers can learn how to help fight hunger and for each person that joins the “huddle”on the site, Kraft Foods will donate a meal to his or her local Feeding America food bank. How's that for motivation!
Other consumer incentives include “Huddle to Fight Hunger” coupons. These coupons are available online and in newspapers nationwide and for each one redeemed, Kraft will donate additional meals to Feeding America. For those of you who aren't into coupon cutting, simply purchase Oreo and Ritz's special football-shaped cookies and crackers and each company will donate up to 500,000 meals.
Kraft will also donate one meal to a local Feeding America food bank for each consumer who uses his or her mobile device to join the initiative.
“During tough times, consumers want to help others who are less fortunate,” said Verie Moens, senior manager of corporate affairs at Kraft Foods. “Our research tells us that 65% of consumers say they experience an emotional reward when they give.”
Moen is absolutely right and it was genius of Kraft to help us get that warm fuzzy felling by making “giving back” user-friendly. Most people have the desire to make a difference but just don't know where to begin. Now its easy, you can donate to the cause by simply using coupons, purchasing products you probably already planned to buy and/or by making a few key strokes on your computer or cell phone – which we all use regularly. This campaign should be subtitled “Facil Dando”.
We're ecstatic to say they're close to reaching their goal! Kraft Foods recently tweeted:
"Almost 9,996,000 donated to @FeedingAmerica! Help us reach 10 million meals: sigh up here http://bit.ly/dxE217”
And within a matter of days, the website has a reported 10,000,414 meals donated!
The campaign will culminate in San Francisco on January 9, 2011 with the first ever Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl featuring college football teams from the WAC and PAC-10.
We've signed up at ComidaKraft.com, will you?

Back in August, Team Blogamole reported that Rudy Fernandez was ready to leave the Portland Trailblazers and was fined $25,000 for publicly expressing his displeasure with the organization. Apparently, that wasn't enough because Fernandez is now being fined an additional $50,000 for statements made by his agent.
Yes you read correctly, Rudy has to pay 50G's on top of his $25,000 fine making his wallet $75,000 lighter – not because he wants to be traded, but because he, and his representation, keeps telling the world that he wants out. Gerard Darnes (Rudy's agent) was very vocal appearing on a Portland radio show saying Rudy was homesick and desperately wanted to be released of his contract so that he can return to Spain to play.
"You cannot blame him for having the desire to be somewhere else. He has a contract, he's honoring the contract. He's here and playing. He has been very respectful to the fans.” Darnes goes on to explain, "Rudy wishes to go home," he said. "His personal situation got worse. This change of mind has been produced in four months. His personal situation has been getting worse. There are things that I cannot say publicly, personal situations, that have been getting worse."
Darnes, in Rudy's defense, also emailed reporters who made light of Rudy's sadness about his contractual obligation with the Blazers. Unfortunately, it's Rudy who will be held financially accountable for his agent's actions.
We understand how frustrating it can be when your heart isn’t in what you're doing but when is enough, enough? We can think of 75-thousand reasons to keep your mouth, as well as your reps mouth shut. This may not be the last fine “Team Fernandez” will be hit with but we're pretty sure that the NBA will significantly raise the amount next time. One things for sure, if Fernandez is able to exercise restraint and wants to keep a muzzle on his agent, simply threaten to take the next fine out of his commission. Problem solved.
Do you think Rudy Fernandez should be let out of his contract?

30 Rock” fans are in for a real treat. Not only is “30 Rock” going live tonight (Thursday, October 14) but Matt Damon and Mad Men's Jon Hamm is also set to appear on the show!
In 30 Rock's first live telecast, as usual we can expect three story lines:
"One story is that no-one has remembered Liz's birthday, another is that Jack Donaghy (played by Alec Badwin) has tried to give up drinking while his fiancee is pregnant -- and he's not enjoying that -- and there's another story with Tracy Morgan making some discoveries about how fun it is to act up on live TV," said Tina Fey.
Although the prospect of goofs and blunders are influence enough to tune in, we're more psyched about the A-lost guest appearances. Damon is scheduled to reprise his role as “Carol”, Liz Lemon's (Tina Fey) emotionally out of control pilot and Hamm will make a return appearance as “Dr. Drew Baird” – both of which are Lemon's ex-beaus. Could it be that Don Draper and Jason Bourne will be competing for Lemon's attention? If so, Lemon may have her hands full – in a good way. That's a problem any woman would be willing to have! Also set to appear in the episode is the super-sexy Cheyenne Jackson as “Danny”, a “TGS” cast member.
30 Rock is set to broadcast from NBC's Saturday Night Live stage at 30 Rockefeller Plaza (hence the shows title) at 8:30 p.m. ET, then the cast will return at 11:30 p.m. ET to do it all over again for a live show for the West coast. We're eager to see the differences and how SNL improv vets Tina Fey and Tracy Morgan recover from any mishaps.
Will you tune in to the live broadcast of “30 Rock”?

He may not have a name yet for his upcoming album, but Juanes definitely has a cool idea about how to execute the cover art. As a way to include his Twitter Followers and Facebook Fans in the process, he’s asking everyone to submit their own personal pictures, which he plans to incorporate in the final design.
Late last month, the Colombian rocker Tweeted this message to all of his fans,
“Hola todos ! Si quieren que su foto sea parte del arte de mi nuevo álbum pueden subirla ya mismo en http://fanwall.Juanes.net #fb”
We know what you’re thinking. With 1.4 million Tweeters behind him and another 1.7 million on Facebook, how can Juanes possibly squeeze that many pix into one tiny CD case? The truth is, he’s actually picking the Top 3,000 for the final design.
And as we can recall from that notebook experiment, Juanes is very creative and can come up with some pretty interesting ideas when it comes to graphic art. The problem is, he’s going to have A LOT to choose from. According to Billboard.com, there have been over 52,000 people from 93 different countries who have submitted photographs thus far.
Plenty more submissions are expected and we can only imagine the timely process it will take to find absolute best for the final design. So our advice is, before you send your pic in, make sure it really stands out. Then in December (when the album is set to hit shelves), check out your local record store and see if your face got immortalized in the final product!
To submit your picture to Juanes' Album Artwork Contest, check out http://fanwall.juanes.net.

They may not be able to fly, but these futuristic rides pretty much represent everything else you’d expect in the latest decade of automotive design. Doors that pop open, impeccable exteriors, and enough technology to make you wonder whether or not they’re capable of traveling through time! This week’s Paris Auto Show is attracting tons of international attention with concept cars unlike anything the public has ever seen.
Though (unfortunately) Team Blogamole was unable to fly to France to see the cars in person, we did do our homework and came up with four of the rides we think are the absolute sickest! Start saving your pennies now, because we expect each of these babies to come with a MAJOR price tag.
Jaguar C-X75: It’s about time Jaguar came out with some fresh blueprints. Back in the day, they represented luxury and style, but lately we haven’t been as impressed with their designs. That is, until they showed off the C-X75! Smooth, low-to-the-ground, and sporting micro-turbine technology, it’s been touted as the hands-down star of the Paris Auto Show.
Renault DeZir: A hometown hero at the Paris Auto Show, this French electric-powered sports car screams the word “fun.” Sporting cherry red coloring and bright white interiors, it definitely has more of a feminine touch and seems like the perfect Boulevard cruiser on a girls night out! And for all you super rich guys out there, it’s a great gift for a wife or girlfriend.
Lamborghini Sesto Elemento: Ok, how many of us guys had a Lamborghini poster hanging on our wall growing up? Exactly. And now, no matter what age you are, there’s another sleek design to post up right over the dresser. This car’s got tons of attitude and an engine that’ll literally send you flying! 570-horsepower, a V-10 mounted behind the passenger compartment, and a weight of only 2,200 pounds?! Simply amazing.
Lotus Eterne: Now, if you ever wanted to "officially" become a superhero, THIS would be your car. Sleek, supercharged, and stunningly cool under the darkness of night, the Eterne is James Bond, Bruce Wayne, and The Green Hornet all wrapped up in one. Just imagine the type of high-tech gadgetry we could install behind those black tinted windows. Have your crime fighting costume ready, because this ride is set to hit the streets in 2015.

After an intense summer battle, the public has spoken and chosen Alex Camacho as their Dame Un Break superstar. And you KNOW if he beat out hundreds of applicants (and the other four super-talented finalists), he’s got to be good! Now you’ll get to see for yourself since his “Dame Dame Dame” video premiered exclusively on Tr3s this Wednesday (October 13)!
By all accounts, the Dame Un Break competition was a huge success. Thousands of fans chimed in on their favorite rising estrellas, the Facebook Fan page was overflowing with positive feedback, and it looks like we are really in the process of creating a new music sensation.
New York’s Alex Camacho has a voice destined for stardom. He’s been cutting his singing chops for 25 years and has a unique ability to mix thumping reggaeton rhythms with smooth Latin pop. Best of all, he’s completely humbled by the experience and couldn’t be more gracious to all of the voters who put him over the top.
Spreaking to Team Blogamole, he said,
“Uno de los mejores premios que puede recibir un artista es que reconozcan su talento
y ser el ganador de Dame un Break me ha dado la satisfaccion de recibir es reconocimiento. Por lo tanto me siento super contento y mas que feliz de haber vivido esta experiencia.”
Alex cites Don Omar, Daddy Yankee, and Wisin Y Yandel as major influences on his particular style. And it sounds like he’s incorporating a bit of their showmanship into his “Dame Dame Dame” video. Set in a nightclub and full of fast-paced energy, it’s a great kickoff track and guaranteed to stir up attention.
It’s obvious Alex expects to be in the music game for a long time and even shared a bit about his five-year plan.
“Siempre trato de ser optimista en todo lo que me propongo por lo tanto de aqui a 5 años me veo como un artista mas profesional con mas experiencia, con un disco producido por alguna disquera y sobre todo disfrutando del cariño de mi publico.”
Be sure to check Alex Camacho out on Facebook for all kinds of updates and see for yourself why he’s more than ready for his big Break, with the world premiere of “Dame Dame Dame!”

Pobrecito Jimmy Smits. It’s obvious that he does great on ensemble shows (like NYPD Blue) or as a guest star (like on Dexter), but every time he gets his own series, cancellation comes calling. Case in point, his new NBC drama, Outlaw, which officially got the axe this week.
Image: NBC
If you remember a few years back, Jimmy starred as a powerful Cuban businessman in the series Cane. It had tons of hype, a famous executive producer (Interscope Records head Jimmy Lovine), and a great cast, but somehow couldn’t survive past 13 episodes.
This year Jimmy was back in the game again, playing a powerful lawyer, receiving tons of hype, and getting another top-notch producer (Conan O’Brien) to back him up…Sound familiar? Unfortunately Outlaw only made it to 4 episodes, probably not even enough to merit a DVD release.
But not to worry. If there’s one thing we can say about Smits, it’s that he’s very resilient. Jimmy’s been acting steadily for over 25 years and always seems to land on his feet. Who knows, maybe this will free up his schedule enough to jump back in the movie world and get his own Star Wars spinoff!

Who can forget the frizzy-hair, big glasses, and moon boots? Back in 2004, Napoleon Dynamite was one of the indie-world’s most talked about comedies, spawning video games, stickers, and Vote For Pedro t-shirts (which are still hanging up in the Blogamole closet). And now the franchise is getting its very own animated series!
Yup, Napoleon, his nerdy brother Kip, Uncle Rico, and (our personal fave) Pedro are all coming back in cartoon form. And best of all, they’re all going to be voiced by the original actors! FOX announced that they are interested in picking up the Dynamite series and may even be slotting in between The Simpsons and Family Guy.
And for those who loved the wit and humor of the hit movie, well they’ve brought along the original writers and director too. We can only imagine the plotlines they’re already cooking up…Grandma’s llama on the loose, Pedro for mayor, you name it!
Unfortunately there isn’t an exact premiere date set yet, but six episodes have been ordered and the buzz is growing fast. Hopefully if it takes off we can see more movies getting the cartoon treatment. Machete: The Animated Series, anyone?
