Katy Perry & Russell Brand Tie The Knot In India!

It’s official! Katy Perry can’t kiss any more girls…or at least she shouldn’t, because now she’s a married woman! This past weekend, the much-talked-about wedding between her and comedian Russell Brand took place in India and (as expected) it was completely over the top.

Jugglers, giant elephants, full-blown Bollywood bands, the happy couple literally spared no expense when it came to treating their guests to a lavish time. Though it was said that the invitee list was rather small (which makes sense since tickets to India are NOT cheap) and unfortunately Perry’s bachelorette BFF, Rihanna, was a no show.

But that didn’t stop any of the excitement. Katy reportedly donned a gorgeous Elie Saab dress while Russell sported an ornamented suit and henna tattoos on his hands. The service was performed by a Christian minister (and Perry family friend) and it was said that both the bride and groom performed songs during the reception.

So what about honeymoon plans? It looks like the happy couple are well on their way. Yahoo reports that “the Brands” are now at an exclusive resort in Maldives. Known for its gorgeous island scenery and lush marine life, it seems like the perfect destination to escape, enjoy wedded bliss, and come up with hot new love songs.
