Snooki Hopes To Become Bestselling Author

Nicole Richie did it, Paris Hilton did it, and now it looks like Snooki from Jersey Shore is the latest reality star to try her hand at penning a bestseller. So what if she claims to have only read two books in her lifetime? For all we know, Snooki could have the writing abilities to become the next Diaz, Saramago, or J.K. Rowling.

Ok maybe we’re stretching it a little bit there, but her book idea actually does sound kind of cute. Entitled A Shore Thing, it’s supposed to be based on a girl finding love on (where else?) the New Jersey boardwalk.

And as far as the lead character goes, Snooki’s publisher, Gallery Books, says it’s a girl “full of big hair, dark tans, and fights galore.” Sound familiar? They are claiming the entire idea is Snooki’s own vision and she’ll be working with at least one collaborator on the project.

So could A Shore Thing turn into an entire saga, like the “Twilight” franchise? Probably not, but we’re sure it will make for an entertaining read when it’s released in January. And if it ever does get the big screen treatment, we know a certain reality star who would be perfect for the title role.
