The always politically charged rap duo Calle 13 took to their Facebook page Sunday (September 19) night to release the first official single "Vamo' A Portarnos Mal" off their forthcoming album Entren Los Que Quieran (peep the title change!).

While the controversial "Calma Pueblo" challenged authorities, corporations, and religion, "Vamo' A Portarnos Mal" preaches one must live life to the fullest, even if that entails breaking society's rules every so often.

"Calma Pueblo," featuring Omar Rodriguez-Lopez of The Mars Volta, shocked viewers with the scenes of people stripping their clothing as a symbol of rebellion, only to be shot by hidden rifles. However, what critics neglected to see/hear behind the nakedness and shock value of the lyrics, was the aggressive and powerful message.

Because of the forced censorship behind "Calma Pueblo," the duo decided to take to the internet to release their latest single.

Perez said in a statement:

"La web es una herramienta muy importante. Quería hacer algo exclusivamente para el internet. La idea era trabajar libremente sin censuras. Si no hubiera censura en la prensa, este es el tipo de video que yo hiciera. Y como tengo mi propia pagina, puse el video para que cualquiera que quisiera ver el video lo viera."

Residente and Visitante are not bitter, instead el grupo is readying for the October 26 release of their next album Entren Los Que QuieranAre you ready for their political and introspective sound?

Well, we think that Javier Bardem would’ve made an awesome Wolverine, but back when the first “X-Men” movie was cast, it just didn't happened. That doesn’t mean, of course, that other Latinos wouldn’t soon be joining the onscreen Marvel mutant squad.  We were pretty psyched to see the sexy Dania Ramirez as Callisto in "X-Men: The Last Stand" (way before her days of wooing Turtle with tequila on 'Entourage'), so it was high time for it to happen again! This time, the ladies will have some nice eye candy as newcomer Alex Gonzalez’ has been confirmed to play Riptide in next summer’s "X-Men: First Class."

Conceptualized as a prequel to the last batch of "X-Men" movies, "First Class" is already getting tons of buzz among comic fans. It’s got "Kick Ass" director Matthew Vaughn attached to it, a cast of sexy up-and-comers, and more mutants than ever before.

Alex Gonzalez, a young Spanish actor whose credits include "Milk" and several novelas, was one of the last people to be cast, but he’s primed to have some pretty incredible powers. Riptide is an evil "X-Men" cult fave, who can spin his body and do major whirlwind damage!

And with the budget that "First Class" is sporting, you can bet Riptide’s hurricane effects will be in full force! Will Gonzalez be the Marvel bad guy that ultimately takes down Professor X, Beast, and Banshee? We'll have to wait until June 3, 2011 to find out!

Hope was at an all-time high yesterday (September 21) among youth, political and community activists around the nation who have been relentlessly advocating for the passage of the DREAM act - which would give the chance for thousands of undocumented students to remain in the U.S. legally and pursue a higher education – as they awaited to hear the Senate’s verdict on the passage of the Defense Authorization Act, which included passing the DREAM Act as an Amendment this afternoon. Unfortunately their DREAM evaporated when a group of Republican senators voted to block the defense bill in the Senate.

The Senate failed to raise the necessary 60 votes to pass the Defense Authorization Act, but it was in no doubt a close call. The vote was uncertain all the way up to the vote as Democratic leaders were reportedly trying to negotiate an agreement with Republican senators who were against the bill to reach the 60-vote count they needed to proceed. In the end, the vote was 56 to 43 against proceeding to the Defense Authorization Act.

Deferral of the DREAM Act is a setback to DREAM Act advocates who were hopeful they had the votes to pass the bill this time. Mary Giovagnoli, Director of the Immigration Policy Center, responded quickly to the Senate’s decision stating:

"The Senators who voted 'no' today are ignoring unequivocal evidence that the DREAM Act is good for military readiness, the American workforce and the U.S. economy. The energy and enthusiasm of thousands of young people who have poured themselves into promoting the DREAM Act has not been wasted, however. Because of their efforts, more people today understand the importance of DREAM to our economy, our military, and the future of our country than ever before."

All across the web today, jealous Tweets are flying. Why? Because music sensation Justin Bieber has been spotted hooking up with a new potential "girlfriend". And who exactly captured the heart of "The Biebs"? A cute Latina pop star named Jasmine Villegas!

That’s right, not only is Jasmine a fellow musician, she’s also his opening act! Currently singing with Justin on his Somebody To Love tour, rumors have been flying for weeks about these two being a couple.

But now there’s photographic proof! It seems a TMZ paparazzo scored the shot of a lifetime when he captured Bieber and Villegas hooking up in a Honda over in Venice, California. So much for the claim they’ve been issuing about being "just cool friends."

The real question is, how serious is it? Neither camp is making any comments…yet. But you can find some interesting clues in Justin’s "Baby" video (which prominently featured Jasmine). Do you see real-life sparks flying at the bowling alley?  Or are the paparazzi blowing this out of proportion?

It's here! Selena Gomez's new album A Year Without Rain officially hit stores Tuesday (September 21).

Described as a feel-good record with a dance/techno vibe, the "Wizards of Waverly Place" star and recent MTV Europe Music Awards nominee candidly admitted to MTV News that she hopes her fans enjoy the LP because she had them in mind during every decision in the album process, even dedicating a few special tracks to them.

"I wanted to make sure [the album] made people feel good, but I also dedicated a couple songs to my fans, because there were moments onstage that I wish I could give to them, because they mean so much to me.

So there are songs like 'Intuition' and 'Spotlight' that are specifically for my fans and a way of saying, 'I get to live such a great life, but you guys deserve the spotlight as much as I do.' "

Selena continued:

"I mean, even down from putting the track listing and numbering it, I wanted to make sure I envisioned [fans] putting it in their car or putting it on their iPod and how I wanted them to listen to the record."

On naming the album, Gomez gushed:

"[I named the album after my single] because it's the name of the first song I recorded to put on the record. I feel like that song has a lot of meaning, and it also kind of was the start of what I wanted to base all the other songs around."

Sentimental to the core! We love SelenaCheck out MTV News for more from this interview!

Just like we promised, we're on top of every new update surrounding our VMA Latino Artists Of The Year. And now, thankfully, the news we’re getting is all to the good! Max "Mikey" Santos recently spoke up on Aventura with some Tweets that got us VERY excited.

“Update! To all fans.#Romeo and I have met and buried the hatchet”

“The kings are Back!! See ya when the tour begins. And hey. What's Aventura without a lil contraversy huh. HahahLOL”

Controversy was right! For the past few days Aventura fans have been sweating bullets wondering if their favorite band was on the verge of breaking up. This particular fire seemed to be ignited by Romeo’s solo appearance on the VMAs.

What followed were angry tweets, massive rants on the Aventura site, and overall confusion as to what exactly caused all of the drama.

The one thing we will clarify is this.  Romeo did not accept the Moonman on his own.  In fact, the Tr3s VMA Moonman was given to Lenny Santos while the rest of the band was away, and we've got his acceptance speech (on behalf of the whole band) below:

Twitter, of course, is another story. Yea it’s fun and spontaneous, but we’ve all seen the drama that can come out of a Tweet war. Thankfully, as Romeo put it, the four guys in Aventura are "brothers" who fight just like everybody else…and can squash the hard feelings just as easily.

Are you as relieved as we are that Aventura’s have made up? Sound off in the comments or @MTV3!

What will our favorite GTL-practicing, fist-pumping, and grenade-ditching "Jersey Shore" cast do come Fall? Looks like resident bad-ass and 'keep it real' vixen JWoww will be stripping down to pose for Playboy!

When E!Online caught up with the MTV reality starlet, Jenni admitted she was close to finalizing the deal to strip down for the adult mag this winter.

"Final offer is standing. Hopefully, it will go through."

Just how much could JWoww stand to earn from the deal? A reported $400, 000!!!

Wondering how much she'll actually show? While her MTV contract may prohibit Ms. Farley from baring all, we're pretty sure the assets JWoww's famous for will make a full frontal cameo! Hey, she bought them for a reason!

This is the first of many offers for JWoww since she and her roommates garnered overnight success with the popular Thursday night show. While Jenni's turned down a few reality show offers, she is considering one with NBC. Could she and Snooki be the next Paris and Nicole? Only time will tell!

Will you buy JWoww's Playboy issue? Sound off in the comments, or @MTV3.

We’ve got to hand it to Oscar De La Hoya, he’s proven to be even more of a powerhouse outside the ring than he was when he fought. His Golden Boy Promotions business has revitalized the sport, brought tons of new fighters to the spotlight, and made him millions of dollars. That’s why it’s not too surprising to hear he’s got the cash and the drive to buy the Dodgers!

photo via WireImage

Speaking with ESPN Radio in Los Angeles, Oscar had some very interesting words to say IF the famous L.A. baseball team goes up for sale.

"Interested? Are you kidding me? It would be an honor to somehow be involved with the Dodgers. We are born, raised and live here in L.A. We are very, very interested. We would be on top of it. Hopefully something will come out of it. "

Everyone in So Cal has been on top of the team’s struggles lately. Hotshot Manny Ramirez is now in Chicago, manager Joe Torre is ready to make his exit, and team owner Frank McCourt is going through a very expensive divorce. So rumors are flying…could it be time to put the team up for sale?

Nothing “official” has been said yet, but if it happens, Oscar says he’s “all over it”. A De La Hoya purchase could certainly stir up more Latino pride for the team and who wouldn’t want a Golden Boy beer cup to go with that Dodger Dog?

Tom Brady said he "hated" the New York Jets and as a result did not watch HBO's "Hard Knocks" which featured an inside look at the Jet's training camp. Two words: Bad Choice. Mark Sanchez led the Jet's to a 28-14 victory Sunday, (September 19) over the New England Patriots and set a record in the process.

photo via Getty Images Sport

Sanchez threw for a career-high 3 touchdowns and threw less (21-30) but completed more passes than Brady (20-36).  Overall, the Jets as a whole put on an unbelievable performance, but it didn't start off that way. Randy Moss – being defended by Darrell Revis, arguably the best cornerback in the NFL – caught an acrobatic one-handed touchdown pass to give the Patriots a 14-7 lead heading into the second quarter. By halftime, the Pats were up 14-10, Revis left the game with a hamstring injury, and Jets fans were chewing their fingernails.

But then "Gang Green" came running out of the locker room in the second half. It started on the defensive end when Antonio Cromartie picked off Brady's pass to Randy Moss at the 3-yard line. Sanchez led the charge down the field that ended in a 36-yard field goal completion making the score 14-13 – in favor of the Pats – with 4:53 remaining in the third.  With 38 seconds left in the quarter, Sanchez completed a 2-yard touchdown pass to Jerricho Cotchery and Braylon Edwards caught the 2-point conversion to give the Jets their first lead at 21-14. This was the beginning of the end for the Patriots, they never scored again.

Considering the rivalry, Tom Brady was understandably seething:

"We couldn’t do anything in the second half," Brady said. "We couldn't run it, we couldn't throw it. We just sucked."

We couldn't have summed it up better ourselves.

Sanchez, on the other hand, was his usual humble self:

"We didn't pay much attention to it, any of the criticism. I think this team has some great leaders and a lot of experience to lean on and I think it really showed tonight."

Kudos to Sanchez for being modest but we're not afforded that virtue and have decided to rub it in for him. The Jets are the Best! Sanchez mopped the floor with Brady and the Patriots! And yes, you did suck!

The Jets face the Patriots again December 6 at Gillette Stadium – the Pats' home field.

Time for Shakira, Enrique Iglesias, and Selena Gomez to renew their passports, it looks like they’ll be heading off to Madrid this fall for the MTV Europe Music Awards! Each of them received a nomination in one of the major categories.

Shakira at the 2009 MTV EMAs (photo via Getty Images)

For Shakira, it’s for Best Female of the Year. No doubt helped by her World Cup, “Waka Waka” single, it’s obvious this Latina is an international superstar and primed to take home the springy prize. Yea she’s up against Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and Katy Perry, but we think she’s got this one covered!

Enrique, meanwhile, is battling it out for Best Male Of The Year. Can he rise above Eminem, Justin Bieber, Usher, and Kanye West? Well he was born in Spain after all, so we’re hoping the home court advantage works in his favor.

And one of our personal faves, Selena Gomez, scored a nom in the newbie category as Best Push Act. With a million copies sold of her debut album and another record on the way, it’s a no-brainer to include her here. But can she defeat “The Biebs”? We’re rooting for you Selena!

Of course these three categories are only part of the fun. There’s also Lady Gaga (what’ll she wear THIS time?) fighting for Best Song against “California Gurls”, Linkin Park vs. Kings Of Leon for Best Rockers, and tons more. And with performers Katy Perry and Linkin Park newly announced, you can bet we’ll be watching EVERY minute!

The highly-anticipated MTV Europe Music Awards go down November 7.
