We’ve got to hand it to Oscar De La Hoya, he’s proven to be even more of a powerhouse outside the ring than he was when he fought. His Golden Boy Promotions business has revitalized the sport, brought tons of new fighters to the spotlight, and made him millions of dollars. That’s why it’s not too surprising to hear he’s got the cash and the drive to buy the Dodgers!

Speaking with ESPN Radio in Los Angeles, Oscar had some very interesting words to say IF the famous L.A. baseball team goes up for sale.
"Interested? Are you kidding me? It would be an honor to somehow be involved with the Dodgers. We are born, raised and live here in L.A. We are very, very interested. We would be on top of it. Hopefully something will come out of it. "
Everyone in So Cal has been on top of the team’s struggles lately. Hotshot Manny Ramirez is now in Chicago, manager Joe Torre is ready to make his exit, and team owner Frank McCourt is going through a very expensive divorce. So rumors are flying…could it be time to put the team up for sale?
Nothing “official” has been said yet, but if it happens, Oscar says he’s “all over it”. A De La Hoya purchase could certainly stir up more Latino pride for the team and who wouldn’t want a Golden Boy beer cup to go with that Dodger Dog?
