We’ve got to admit that actor Ryan Reynolds is pretty versatile. He’s gone from zany comedies like Van Wilder, to Green Lantern super hero flicks, to all out terror, like the new movie Buried. Partnered with Spanish director Rodrigo Cortes and a large Latin production crew, Buried has become, what many are saying, the scariest film of the year!

First the plot. Imagine watching a movie that only featured one actor who for nearly all of its 90 minutes was trapped inside a box! Just the premise is enough to creep us out, but that’s only the beginning. Watching the trailer, you realize that Reynolds’ character has been somehow kidnapped in Iraq and buried alive underground!

Though it sounds difficult to pull off, many are already praising Rodrigo’s work behind the camera. Through his usage of interesting angles, tense close-ups, and clever plot twists, he’s managed to make a very difficult concept into one of this season’s most talked about movies.

And how does Ryan Reynolds stack up? Critics are praising this as one of his best performances yet. And when talking to MTV, Cortes reemphasized what a struggle it was for his lead actor to take on such a role. When discussing the film’s demanding final day of shooting, Rodrigo said,

"What [Ryan] felt, is that if he died that day at least it was the last one, so we could have the film completely over. Of course he was laughing, but that's what he said, that's how he felt. It was a very, very tense day."

Now keep in mind ladies, this is not your typical Ryan Reynolds film. All of you who were swooning over him and Sandra Bullock in The Proposal, may not want to follow him along to Buried. But if you love tense psychological thrillers filled with dark twists, this one’s for you.

Perhaps Ryan said it best when he spoke to OK! Magazine,

“This is the kind of movie that’s never been done before. I’ll never understand why people want to go and be completely terrified at a movie. I have no idea why they want to do this, but people love to do it. If there is one thing I can say that this movie achieves, it’s that.”

Well Team Blogamole’s already been through Devil and Machete, so we say Bring It On!

Its no secret that Ricky Martin has a lot going on. His memoir entitled Yo is set to be released November 2, he's a father to two beautiful twin boys, and the Tr3s Twitter Pick works diligently with his Ricky Martin Foundation, tweeting to keep us aware of the foundation's events.

Still can't get enough of Ricky? Well you're in luck. Martin is set to give more of himself in a tell-all interview on the Oprah Winfrey Show! In addition to the aforementioned, Martin will sit and discuss his decision to reveal his sexuality to the public – the first time he's done so since coming out.

Oprah is known for asking the tough questions, so we're hoping everything we've been wondering (any celebrity boyfriends, “fake” girlfriends and any cool collabs we can expect on his next album)  will be addressed.

After all, Oprah vowed that in her final season, interviews would be approached a little differently:

“We want to create special moments so celebrities aren't just coming on to talk about a movie or talk about a book, but creating special moments with many of our friends.”

If handled correctly, Oprah could definitely make this interview one for the record books. Aside from the obvious, she could really focus on his struggles – if any – as a Hispanic artist, the criticism he may face being a homosexual father and how he overcomes these obstacles.

In anticipation of his appearance, Oprah.com has created a forum entitled Ricky Martin: Has He Inspired You? where people can write and give their account of how Ricky Martin has motivated them to change their life. Does this mean that Oprah will pick some lucky winner to sit in the studio audience? Maybe she'll read one of the testimonials submitted to reiterate just how much his courage has impacted peoples lives. Either way, Mr. Livin La Vida Loca can take comfort in knowing he will be surrounded by fans as well as those that have been inspired by his life story.

Kudos to Ricky for giving us what we've all been waiting for. We're psyched and we cant wait for the show to air! And just in case, we'll have our Kleenex handy.

Tight-ends aren't known for being great catchers – unless your name is Tony Gonzalez. The 14 year veteran of the Atlanta Falcons became only the seventh player but the first Tight-End in NFL history to catch 1,000 passes!

Gonzalez's 1000th catch came during the first game of the season in a 9-15 overtime loss against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He humbly accepted his congratulations via twitter but was more concerned with the loss:

“Thank you to all of u telling me congrats. You guys are the ones that make the NFL go. It's an honor to be apart of the 1000 catch club.” He goes on to tweet, “Tough loss yesterday. The defense played great. We will be back next week ready to roll."

He wasn't kidding because since then, the Falcons went on to destroy the Arizona Cardinals 41-7 in the second game of the season and thanks to an outstanding performance by the record-setting tight end, they defeated the reigning champion New Orleans Saints in a shocking 27-24 overtime win on Sunday, September 26. Gonzalez caught 8 passes racking up 110 yards. Saints kicker Garrett Hartley missed a 32-yard field goal that would have gave his team the win with 4 seconds left in regulation. Everyone was amazed but the Falcons had to regroup and capitalize on their second chance in overtime.

“I was absolutely stunned,” Gonzalez said. “I thought for sure the game was over.”

After the win, a very humble Gonzalez gave props to his teammates as well as his opponent on twitter:

“Just got back to ATL. Great win for us today. Total team effort! Saints made it tough.”

Handing the reigning Super Bowl Champions their first loss of the season is no small feat and if the Falcons use that confidence to build on their success, they're going to be a force to be reckoned with. Their next game is scheduled for October 3 against former division rival San Francisco 49ers. Good luck!

Congratulations to Tony Gonzalez who joins a very impressive list of receivers including Jerry Rice, Marvin Harrison, Chris Carter, Tim Brown, Isaac Bruce and Terrell Owens to be a member of the 1,000 catch club.

Welcome to a whole new way to be charitable. Back in the day, groups of stars would get involved with causes via telethons, auctions, or whatever. But now Eva Longoria Parker has taken giving into the modern age, with the first ever celebrity Twitter auction. And get this, so far she’s raised over $540,000!

This particular charity is to help aid children and those continuing to struggle in Haiti. By donating a set amount of dollars, you can not only make a difference, but get your favorite celebs to Tweet you a personalized message! And you can even get them follow you in the Twitterverse.

With over 750,000 Followers, it’s clear Eva’s a master of all things Twitter. Obviously, she would have been our first choice for a personalized message, but if you preferred another A-lister, you could’ve hooked up with Mario Lopez, Nicole Richie, or Lala Vasquez, all of whom were involved.

It’s clear Eva was very touched by overwhelming response, Tweeting,

“Thanks again to all of U that bid & won auctions @ http://TwitChange.com -our team is working hard behind the scenes for each of you all! Xo”

The paparazzi are having a field day right now. It seems that newly single Halle Berry has been seen all over Paris getting cozy with her costar, Olivier Martinez. Half-Spanish and half-French, Olivier is one of Europe’s hottest bachelors. Is it possible he could now be off the market?

Well if you’re going to settle down for anybody, Halle Berry is quite the catch! Separated from model Gabriel Aubrey (who happens to be the father of her 2-year-old daughter Nahla), the press have been very curious to see who she would be hooking up with next.

Leave it to the casting agents to help figure that one out. Halle and Olivier were filming all kinds of close-knit scenes together for their new thriller, Dark Tide. Shot throughout his hometown, Martinez seemed very happy taking on the role of Berry’s “personal” tour guide after the cameras stopped.

The real interesting thing to see will be when scenes from the film start popping up. As we all know, some of the most famous romances began on movie sets and it’s always fun to see the chemistry they lead to onscreen. Keep checking the calendars, “Dark Tide” is set to hit theatres in mid-2011.

There is no denying that Facebook is a major presence in all of our daily lives (which reminds us, have you had a chance to LIKE the Tr3s Fan Page yet?). But most of us don’t have a clue about who was behind it and how it all got started.

And those who are tuned-in to founder Mark Zuckerberg’s saga (which will be profiled in the new “Social Network” movie) might not be aware that another major presence in Facebook’s inception was Brazilian-born Eduardo Saverin. Much of the film is based on the relationship between these two now legendary web heroes.

For most of us, it’s hard to find drama in a story where everyone walks away a billionaire, but you’d be surprised. Ruined friendships, destructive lawsuits, and tarnished images all arose from that cute blue and white Wall where we post our daily updates.

Back in 2003, when Eduardo and Mark were best buds at Harvard, everything seemed fine. But add in a revolutionary business idea and the opportunity to become very, VERY rich and you’ve got a saga worthy of big budget Hollywood movie.

And that’s exactly what happened. It all started when Eduardo (who went on to sue Zuckerberg for Facebook ownership rights) told his story to author Ben Mezrich. Mezrich then took those details and penned the hugely successful book that 'The Social Network' is based on.

The most interesting thing now is that Mezrich claims Saverin never really wanted the story out in the public. As he told the New York Daily News, "Eduardo wanted to speak on the subject, but he wasn't thinking book, movie - I'm going to get Mark." Of course, that's exactly what happened, with the upcoming flick portraying Saverin and Zuckerberg as brutal enemies.

Is that how Eduardo feels today? For the most part, he isn't talking. There have been no interviews, no public postings, nothing at all relating to the release of the upcoming film. Perhaps he's just too busy counting the $1.1 billion he won from the Zuckerberg lawsuit.

So yes, 'The Social Network' looks like a very interesting movie and goes into this fascinating story with much greater detail (there’s even some early Oscar buzz). But we do have to issue one complaint…would it have killed you to cast a Latino in Eduardo’s role? Don't worry, we'll still see it anyway.

'The Social Network' arrives in theatres this Friday (October 1).

We love hearing about music artists getting in touch with their Latin roots. So what if they’re not native Spanish speakers, the fact that they are interested in reciprocating the love to their Latino fans is good enough for us. And now pop star David Archuleta’s talking about belting out his next batch of hits en Español!

In a phone interview with HitFix.com, David mentioned,

"I really wanna do a Spanish album. I have that Latin culture background. It's a part of me. I'm not the best Spanish speaker, but I have a longing to connect with that. I just think how supportive the Latin community has been, even during 'Idol.' I'd like to give back with something like that."

Pretty awesome news! Although it may take a little while until we hear his big Spanish debut. Right now David's got his hands full with the release of his second big record, titled The Other Side Of Down.

Already getting tons of buzz thanks to a really cool kick-off single, Down is set to drop next Tuesday (October 5). And for those who want the full Archuleta experience, his site is offering a deluxe version complete with a DVD, hand initialed pix, and a David friendship bracelet.

It seems like Luis Miguel and Daisy Fuentes can’t get enough of each other. They first started hooking up back in the ‘90s when he was putting out that Latin Grammy smash, Amarte Es Un Placer, and she was a MTV superstar. Then there were breakups, cheating scandals, and called off engagements. But now Luismi and Daisy have reunited, sparking rumors that they’re a full-fledged couple again!

Of course no official announcements have been made. Daisy’s keeping busy with Tweets about charities and her new clothing line, but no love notes to Luismi. And Miguel is busy promoting his new album and dodging any questions about his personal life.

So why are the rumors starting? Well, there are those reports that Fuentes was by Luis’ side after his recent health scare and now Perez Hilton claims they’ve been sneaking out the back doors of fancy Miami restaurants together.

There are definitely some LuAisy (yes we made that up) haters out there, mostly due to the speculation that she dumped her fiancée for him. But we think these two are probably meant to be. With two decades of history together, we say just come out and make it “official.” Besides, with their looks, they would make one heck of a cute baby!

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Tr3s is hooking up a group of Latino youth with seed funding for their philanthropic efforts. Sponsored by Ashoka’s Youth Venture, in partnership with City Year and the Inter-American Development Bank, Tr3s selected three winners from across the nation who are serving their community, by dedicating their time and effort, in order to make a positive difference. The three winners will be recognized as official Tr3s Agentes de Cambio leaders and will be receiving funds to take their social efforts to the next level.

Reggaeton superstar, Daddy Yankee surprised one of our three Agentes de Cambio winners, Dons Net Café, at Santa Barbara High School last week acknowledging the work they’ve done in their community. Dons Net Café is a student-run social entrepreneurial business program at Santa Barbara High School funded by the Regional Occupational Program. Students volunteer after-school, nights and weekends to help local community members complete their tax returns and obtain Individual Tax Identification Numbers for those who are interested in gaining citizenship. The group also does environmental work through street clean-ups, graffiti removal and recycling projects. Their mission is to educate and empower both youth and community to create change that is both beneficial to society and to the environment while running a profitable student run social entrepreneurial business. The Tr3s Agentes de Cambio award is a fitting tribute to all the wonderful things the members of Dons Net Café have accomplished.

El Cangri is no stranger to giving back to the community as well. In 2007 he launched, Fundación Corazón Guerrero, a charitable organization that helps provide quality education and promote non-violent lifestyles for young girls and boys. He also received a Cassandra Award in 2009 from the Association of Latin Entertainment for his funding for a children’s center in one of the most impoverished neighborhoods on the outskirts of Santo Domingo, the capital city of Dominican Republic.

It’s always sad reporting on celebrity marriage breakups, especially when the couple seemed as strong as George Lopez, and his wife Ann. Together for over 17 years, she had seen him throughout his entire star-studded rise and even gave him one of her kidneys! But now it looks like G. Lo will be living life as a single man.

In a statement issued by the couple, their rep announced:

"George and Ann Lopez have made the decision to end their 17 year marriage. The decision is amicable and by mutual agreement. They remain dedicated parents, and committed partners in business and their philanthropic organization, The Lopez Foundation."

We certainly hope things remain amicable (especially for the sake of their 15-year-old daughter Mayan), but with all kinds of rumors swirling about the cause of the split, there is a chance things could get ugly. Not to mention the substantial fortune George has amassed in the past decade. Could there be a battle looming for Ann’s share of the pie?

No matter what happens, we know we’ll be hearing from Ann Serrano Lopez again. A talented force in her own right, she wrote episodes of 'George Lopez' (currently on the Tr3s sched), acted in shows like 'Curb Your Enthusiasm', and produced many of G. Lo's comedy specials. Who knows, maybe if things go smoothly enough, she’ll wind up promoting her next project on 'Lopez Tonight.'
