It's official! Selena Gomez is purchasing the language-learning software Rosetta Stone in hopes of mastering el Español in the near future.

La joven cantactriz, who is Italian on her mother's side and Mexican on her father's side, recently admitted to Latina that occasionally she gets nervous at Latin awards shows because she’s not entirely confident in her Spanish speaking skills.

"I really want to get Rosetta Stone, because I really need to learn my language. I practice [Spanish], but I can understand it better than I can speak it.

So in a lot of my interviews that I did recently, they would speak to me in Spanish and I would answer back in English. They were like, 'You pick it up so easily,' but I don’t want to say it in Spanish because I’d be embarrassed if I mess something up."

Pobrecita - you get an E for Effort, Selena! However, like other A-list Latinas before her, Gomez believes you have to speak Spanish fluently to be a "real" Latina.

"At first I did, but then I started to see all these people that accepted me regardless of the fact that I didn’t speak it."

We're with you Selena! The Disney starlet, who is currently putting the finishing touches on her next album A Year Without Rain (out September 21), is also fresh off an Emmy Award win for the Disney Channel's "Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie," which was awarded an Emmy for Outstanding Children's Program last week at the Creative Arts ceremony, during which awards that don't make it onto the Primetime show due to time constraints are presented.

Even if her family thinks she’s weird because she enjoys reading books and is strictly vegetarian, Maria’s very close to them and her herencia mexicana. But she also values her bi-cultural lifestyle, and wants to bring both worlds together at her fiesta de quinces.

Every quinceañera wants her big day to be all about her. And how will Maria keep all eyes focused on the big day? Well, by being the only dama in her court, of course! According to Maria, “too many damas bring too much drama.” Instead, she gathers nine chambelanes to be her escorts. Yes, that’s right, nueve!

Michael Jordan is making a comeback! OK, we may have oversold with that statement but he is returning to the video game world. The Legend will grace the new cover of NBA 2K11. Yes, Michael Jackson fans — there's room for two "MJs" in the virtual world!

NBA 2K11 will be released October 5 and will be available for Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, Playstation3, PSP, Wii, and PC.

Not only is Jordan on the cover, but he's actually in the game! If you're hardcore fans like we are, you've been waiting for this moment for almost a decade. The last time Jordan appeared in a video game was 2003 in EA Sports' “NBA Street Vol. 2” — which was a major suckfest.

What does Jordan think of being a part of the best-selling and highest rated video game series? Here is his statement, via Kotaku:

“Its an honor to be featured on the cover of NBA 2K11. I have no doubt that NBA 2K11 will be a big hit with gamers and basketball fans alike. I'm looking forward to getting back out on the court, virtually.”

2K Sports' vice-president Jason Argent promises that this is going to be a stunning game. “We know we have the best NBA game ever made here,” Argent told CNBC. “So we thought to ourselves how can we embody that and there was only one person on that list who we wanted to have and that was Michael Jordan.”

Smart man. Who else to keep us overwhelmed with anticipation for the next installment of the 2K franchise than the most popular athlete in the world, and the legend himself: Air Jordan.

What's better than a new Aventura album? Not much, but while we wait it out, let's celebrate their epic solo projects! As we mentioned before, Max is in the middle of recording his hip-hop album and Henry is in the studio collaborating with Thalia!

Team Blogamole can't wait for Thalia’s upcoming Primera Filla re-release, but the prospect of a Thalia/ Henry collaboration has our minds racing!

Never one to disappoint her fans, Thalia threw out some Tweets last week with a couple “surprises” about her latest project:

“Con Henry de Aventura en el estudio trabajando en una sorpresa!”

Yup, along with that post came a video link, showing none other than Henry Santos Jeter, goofing around with Thalia in a posh studio. Who knew our girl could wail on the drums like that?!

Great stuff, Thalia! We can’t wait to see what kind of musical magic comes out of this combination. Will it be as hot as her “No No No” smash with Romeo? We all know Henry’s a great singer and songwriter, so we’re thinking YES!

What do you do when your entire world falls apart? Try to pick up the pieces and start again. Poor Jimena and Nacho are still reeling over their separation and now we’re seeing them “try” to get back to their normal lives. The passion, the fun, the romance is all gone now, as “Guardian” and “Madonna” (their online screen names for those paying attention) attempt to move on.

In a nutshell, these two online sweethearts fell in love before they ever even physically met. Then Jimena took to a trip to see Nacho in Cartagena and it was ON! Though they seemed so different for each other (she was older and married, he was a struggling student), something clicked and the love ignited.

Nacho’s lady friend Luisa and Jimena’s hubby Gustavo definitely complicated things and before we knew it, these two were headed straight to Heartbreak City. But…they did get in at least one night of passion, which led to (SPOILER ALERT) an unexpected XXXXXXXXX for Jimena!

Every hardcore video game historian is well versed on Michael Jackson software. Though it may be over 20 years old, his Sega Genesis game "Moonwalker” was extremely cutting edge for it’s time, letting players actually control MJ’s signature moves.

Hitting shelves on November 18, Ubisoft is looking to expand that concept even further with “Michael Jackson: The Experience”!

No, there won’t be any Bubbles monkeys around to help you this time. The entirely new concept is built around dance simulation. Similar to Xbox’s upcoming "Dance Central” game, “MJE” will let players use Kinect controllers. But instead of being released on a single system, this game will be spread out across the board.

If you attended screenings at year’s Latino International Film Festival (LIFF) in Los Angeles, you’ll notice they all seemed to have one thing in common: powerful messages. And none is more prominent this year than the immigration debate, particularly about what’s going on in Arizona.

In fact, the topic was so prominent that the organizers held a panel to discuss it on August 24. A Dialogue on Immigration Issues: We Are America/Nosotros Somos America was the centerpiece of the film festival and Team Blogamole was right there in the front row!

Presented in by the UCLA Latin America Institute and moderated by one of our favorite Latinos, Lalo Alcaraz, the panel featured 6 notable speakers ranging from activists, to attorneys, to LIFF filmmakers. Each presented a unique perspective on why SB 1070 and other anti-immigration laws were a bad move.

On the afternoon of August 23, 35-year-old businessman Nick Loeb (Sofia Vergara’s boyfriend) perdió el control de su vehículo while driving in Bel Air and went right off a cliff on Beverly Glen Blvd. He was taken to the Intensive Care Unit at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, sufriendo heridas serias en su pierna y pecho.

The Emmy-nominated 38-year-old actress must have been jolted at such scary news about the man
she loves. Pero desde que tuvo noticias, she took to Twitter to share some relief with her followers,
saying, “Thnks everybody, Nick is doing very good. Pelvix fracture, lots of pain but he is going to be ok. Gracias!!!"
