Team Blogamole reported that NBA guard Rudy Fernandez is ready to leave the Portland Trailblazers but he may be relocating further than we've expected. According to Andy Miller – Fernandez's agent – Rudy has no desire to continue playing for the NBA and would rather return to Europe.

Fernandez's unhappiness comes from how (according to him) coach Nate McMillian thwarts his talents by limiting him to being “just a shooter” and the Blazers' inability to send him to another NBA team.
"I'm not going to be pressured into making a deal,'' Blazers general manager Rich Cho said. "I'm not going to make a trade just to make a trade. It has to be the right deal for the team.''
Rudy's solution: He will not show up for training camp in October and when the season starts, will go as far as to refuse to play, accept a suspension, and forfeit the final two years of his contract (worth $1.25 million).
Wow! He's taking frustration to a whole new level!
Fernandez's agent however, has taken a more vocal approach to the situation:
“He is more comfortable in Europe. He'd rather be in Europe than the NBA. He understands the circumstances in which he wouldn't be coming back. I don't see any scenario in which he'd want to be back.”
Miller goes on to say:
"All I can do now is stand on the roof top and scream 'He's not coming! He's just not coming back ... I've made that clear. I would like to have an amicable divorce.”
Maybe Miller should have stuck to the saying “seen but not heard.” Because of his statements, the NBA hit Fernandez with a $25,000 fine because it's against league policy to publicly demand a trade or release.
According to the Blazers organization, Fernandez – now in Spain playing in the FIBA Games – is ignoring phone calls from the organization. Contrary to what they're accusing, Fernandez tweeted that he's been in communication with his coach:
“And today, besides practice, cordial conversation with my coach Nate McMillian”
Call us crazy but if these guys hope to reach common ground, they have to at least get communication in order. Hopefully, this whole situation will be resolved in a way that will satisfy both parties involved because as it stands, the Blazers will lose a solid player and Rudy is set to lose mucho dinero!
