Xtina Shows Her Acting Chops In 'Burlesque' Trailer

Look up Christina Aguilera on IMDb and you’ll notice something interesting. Despite the fact that she’s been on our TVs and iPod players for over 15 years, she’s never actually had a proper acting role.

Beyonce had her “Dreamgirls” and Britney Spears did “Crossroads” (did anyone even watch that movie?), but Xtina has yet to show her big screen potential. Thankfully, everyone can enjoy a sneak peek of Aguilera in action with the trailer for her new film, "Burlesque."

This flick has quite an interesting mix of talent; it's written by Diablo Cody of “Juno” fame, directed by a former actor from “The Goonies,” and co-starring legendary diva Cher. How’s that for something different?

There’s quite a lot of other talent in this film too, like Academy-Award nominee Stanley Tucci, Kristen Bell, and “McSteamy” from “Grey’s Anatomy.” But we’re pretty sure everyone will be focused strictly on Christina.

Aguilera’s been under a watchful media eye these days because of disappointing record sales and canceled tours.

Could this new movie be a major revival or more fuel for the haterade? She seems able to carry herself well enough in this trailer, but we’ll have to wait until November 24th (when “Burlesque" hits theaters) to find out...
