Peep: Lindsay Lohan As Linda Lovelace For 'Inferno'

No, Lindsay didn’t escape from her rehab clinic or jail stint to go take lingerie pix. It seems some producers “conveniently” leaked these out right when the focus on La Lohan is at an all-time high. The photos are meant to stir up interest for the yet-unfilmed biopic “Inferno,” based on ‘70s pornstar, Linda Lovelace.

It seems kind of strange to shoot publicity photos BEFORE a movie goes into production, right? In fact, with everything going on in her life right now, could Lindsay even be mentally capable of committing to a grueling film shoot?

The proposed director, Matthew Wilder, sure thinks so. He even explained his position to MTV: “I am 100% behind Lindsay and can say the same for everyone involved in the production of 'Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story,' " he said. "Indeed, we are proud to have this remarkable artist work on our film. And as for the haters relishing this moment, I can only quote Jesus in ‘The Last Temptation of Christ’: 'And those who are laughing now…will be crying after.' "

Now that’s the kind of quote you don’t hear everyday. Well we have to admit, the photos are intriguing. Black and white lingerie shots in a motel room; Lindsay tired, dazed, and lying on a bed. But the real question is, are these supposed to channel the desperate life of actress Linda Lovelace or the girl who intends to play her?
