Sofia Vergara Gets Emmy Nom For 'Modern Family'

While reading the nominees for the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, our favorite "Modern Family" star Sofia Vergara was pleasantly surprised to hear her own name announced for her outstanding performance as Gloria Delgado-Prichett in the wildly popular breakout series. Congrats, Sofia!

Vergara is up against her co-star Julie Bowen, as well as Jane Lynch ("Glee"), Kristen Wiig ("SNL"), Holland Taylor ("Two And A Half Men") and Jane Krakowski ("30 Rock") in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series category.

"Modern Family" also received an Outstanding Comedy Series nom, and picked up a bevy of actor nods along with "The Pacific", "Glee" and "Mad Men."

The 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards will air live Sunday August 29, at 8 pm (EST).
