The suspense around Lebron James' free agency plans ends tonight. James will announce which team he will sign with, making one city the happiest place on the planet while giving the rest of the world heart attacks. We're wondering if Diddy's Twitter rumors have already answered our question:
“Breaking news!!! Lebron signs with the Knicks!! I just saw him leaving the Knicks owners house!!! He lives next door to me! Let's go NYC“
"Im only jokin!!! I always wanted to start a twitter rumor!! He's goin to miami! My second home! Lol"

The NBA's two time reigning MVP will reveal his destination within the first 10 minutes on “The Decision,” set to air on ESPN at 9 PM/ET. The hour-long special, hosted by sportscaster Jim Grey, will take place at The Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich, Connecticut, and will include a Q&A session as well as interviews with James via satellite.
The televised event not only has fans intrigued, but also his potential teammates. “I'll be watching,” Dwayne Wade said, “We've scheduled it. I'll make sure I'm in front of the TV tomorrow at 9 to watch like everyone else.”
LeBron started a Twitter account and less than 48 hours later he has close to 300,000 followers, possibly hoping to get some sort of hint about his decision. James tweeted, “Hello World, the Real King James is in the Building “Finally.”
But the million dollar question is, what building will LeBron James play in next season? We've narrowed it down to 4 teams!
Top Choice: The Miami Heat
Diddy's endorsement aside, we're pretty confident with our top pick. With Dwyane Wade deciding to resign and Chris Bosh on board to join him, adding LeBron would be nothing short of an instant championship. How is it possible that the Heat can afford to pay the top three free agents available, you ask? The Miami organization can thank Bosh and Wade for willingly accepting a pay cut to free up some money and assure James can be signed.
“We'll see what the best thing is for us to win.” Wade told AP. “I'm going to make money, no matter what happens. I've been blessed. I'm not counting every dollar and every cent. Let's sit down, let's see what the best thing is for us, for the long haul.”
In our opinion, the downside of James signing with the Heat is that if and when they win a championship, James will be remembered as helping Wade achieve that goal. Is that the legacy he's willing to accept?
Second Choice: The Chicago Bulls
James would fit beautifully on the Bulls, especially with the newest acquisition of Carlos Boozer. His supporting cast would also include All Star Guard and 2009 Rookie of the Year Derrick Rose, center Joakim Noah, and Luol Deng coming off the bench. James and Rose would pair up for the most lethal pick and roll tandem in the league. Imagine moving LeBron to the two guard and the Bulls running with all five on the floor together. Dangerous!
All of this sounds great but the question of legacy still remains. Does he mind being in the shadows of the great Micheal Jordan?
Third Choice: The Cleveland Cavaliers
Although Cavs fans weren't too kind to James after their Eastern Conference Finals exit last season in the playoffs, Cleveland can offer LeBron the most money. They also sweetened the deal by signing Byron Scott as the head coach. Scott has an impressive resume and fits the criteria that James mentioned he wanted in a head coach: playing experience and championships. And we can't forget, the fact that Ohio is James' home state means the Cavs have a good shot at resigning the superstar. But is James content with being a big fish in a little pond?
Last Choice: The New York Knicks
We know many New Yorkers are hoping that the Knicks land James, but this is a long shot. The team, however, was proactive in signing Amare Stoudemire to provide help if James decides this is the place he would like to play. The Knicks can still afford to sign LeBron but as of now, he would be playing alonside Gallinari, Stoudemire, Wilson Chandler and the disappointing Eddy Curry. Not very appealing. They'd definitely have to made some more moves after signing Lebron.
We bet many Knicks fans are hoping Diddy's twitter rumor comes true!
On a happy note, "The Decision” will serve dual purposes. Not only will it hold us hostage, gluing us to our tubes, it's also means to a charitable end.
“Due to unprecedented attention and interest surrounding LeBron's decision, we have decided to make this announcement on national television," James' business manager, Maverick Carter said on lebronjames.com.
"By doing so we have generated funds that will be given to the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. LeBron has a longstanding commitment to giving back to the community, and has worked hard with the Boys and Girls Clubs in cities across the country.”
We applaud James' dedication! After all, with great power comes great responsibility.
