In our latest installment of Deep Thoughts, Blogamole contributor Simone Hilliard talks you into spending your rent money on new music as if we needed convincing!!!
By Simone Hilliard
Shakira released She-Wolf late last year and Christina Aguilera and Juanes bounced back in 2010 with Bionic and Yerbatero, but as a whole, we haven't heard much from the Latin artists we know and love. Fed up with our recycled playlist, Team Blogamole decided to find out where our favorite singers, songwriters, performers, reggaetoneros, pop princesas and emcees have been hiding.

Wisin y Yandel: Este reggaetoneros are double teaming the studio and the stage! They've already extended their wildly popular La Revolución tour and on July 20 they'll release their La Revolución Live LP. In November, the dynamic duo are scheduled to drop their eighth studio album, El Regreso de Los Vaqueros. We can't wait!

Aventura: This Bronx born bachata band are busy touring and making the TV rounds on the likes of "Lopez Tonight." As to when we can expect a follow up to 2009's The Last, we have no idea! Romeo and his boys average a new album every two years, so 2011 can't come soon enough!

Pau Pau: This future mamacita is laying low! We haven't heard from the 39-year-old since her 2009 album Gran City Pop and we honestly don't expect to until she has her first bebe. Then, we'll probably hear a softer sound from the exhibitionist that she'll naturally credit to motherhood, ala Xtina and Thalia.
Julieta Venegas: Another future mama-to-be, this Tijuana star actually did release Otra Cosa this year, but is understandably taking a break from touring to enjoy her pregnancy. Besides, where would she wear her signature accordion?
Enrique Iglesias: FOUR MORE DAYS until Enrique's first bilingual LP, Euphoria, hits stores! We've been waiting for this album for 3 long years! Sure he's held us over with a compilation and greatest hits CD, but we're ready for new música. Enrique definitely teamed up with the best of the best after his long hiatus, working with the likes of Wisin y Yandel, Pitbull, Usher, Akon, Juan Luis Guerra, and more. The heartthrob even had time to fist pump with the "Jersey Shore" cast. We expect platinum sales once again!
Ivy Queen: La Reina de Reggaeton is another artist who's kept us salivating for her new sound. Thankfully, after a three year break (notice a pattern here), Ivy's Drama Queen LP will be available for digital download on July 13, or you can pre-order the album on iTunes now!
Calle 13: Where oh where are our Puerto Rican rappers? It's been 2 years since Residente and Visitante released Los de Atrás Vienen Conmigo, and we've missed them. They had their concert in Cuba, Rocked out and Rio, and Residente recently hit the Glastonbury Festival with Shakira, but as to when they'll release their fourth album, well, we're as anxious to hear it as you are.
Don Omar: Another missing emcee. This King of Kings may have helped High School Juniors pay for college, but he's been M.I.A. since iDON,until now: Later this summer Don is scheduled to release the compilation album Meet The Orphans, and while this isn't 100% new, it will pacify us for now.
Daddy Yankee and Pitbull: No complaints here. Yankee and Pitbull put out hit after hit each year with Yankee's Daddy Yankee Mundial hitting stores in April of this year, and Pitbull's Armando and Planet Pit scheduled for a 2010 release as well.
