Ever since we saw her hilarious "Saturday Night Live" performance, we’ve been on the Betty White bandwagon. At 88, she’s STILL tearing it up with a new TV show, guest appearances, and an upcoming movie with Kristen Bell.

For Team Blogamole, Betty's success is proof that age really ain’t nothing but a number (as the late great Aaliyah would say). Who cares if you’ve got an AARP card in your pocket? As long as you’ve got the dedication and the strength, you can keep entertaining peeps way into your 90s. Older stars deserve a shot too!

Here are a few silver zorros and cougaritas who we think deserve another shot in the spotlight:

Charo

Charo
Anyone growing up in the ‘80s remembers this multi-talented “cuchi cuchi” girl. From her multiple "Love Boat" appearances, to all those variety shows, this lady brought the Lulz and could fit great in sassy, older women roles. Not only that, she’s a killer guitar player and still very active on the cruise ship circuit.

Lupe Ontiveros

Lupe Ontiveros
Though not necessarily a household name, this Mexican actress has a face we all remember. With memorable appearances in "The Goonies," "Cheech & Chong" flicks, 80’s sitcoms, and more, it’s obvious that Lupe’s got some comedy chops. Who wouldn’t love to see her take down Betty in the next Snickers commercial?

We have more from our wish list, after the jump!

Do rich kids and drugs go together like peas and carrots? According to movies like "Cruel Intentions," "Black and White" and the upcoming "Twelve" thriller, starring Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, they most definitely do. In Joel Schumacher's latest film, "Twelve," high-school dropout White Mike (Chace Crawford) sells drugs to his wealthy former classmates. When White Mike's cousin is brutally murdered in an east Harlem project, he quickly finds himself on a collision course with his own destiny.

Although the film received lackluster reviews at Sundance, we're willing to give "Twelve" a chance, even if just to see 50 tackle a dramatic role again. In "Twelve," Curtis plays Lionel, a Harlem drug dealer who is a victim of the foster care system.

(Peep more "12" set photos in our gallery!)

"Twelve"'s cast also includes Emma Roberts, Rory Culkin and Keifer Sutherland. The movie was written in 2002 by then 17-year-old author Nick McDonell and features a new super drug called "Twelve." Imagine a cross between MDMA, heroin, and speed, and that is the damage that "Twelve" can unleash.

Describing his part, 50 shared these details with MTV News:

“It's an interesting role. The dynamics of the role are extreme. I play a drug dealer who's from Harlem, who doesn't actually have any support. He previously was in foster [care] and there is a connection between me and the kids from midtown because they are coming to Harlem to look for the excitement that they can't find at home.”

50 now has seven films under his belt (one which was released and inspired by his fourth solo album Before I Self Destruct and four more in the works), so we're expecting a lot more from him this time around!

"Twelve" hits theaters on July 30.

The U.S. premiere of "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" was held last Thursday (6/24) in downtown Los Angeles. In addition to Kristin Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and the rest of our favorite vamps and werewolves who were in attendance, there were a bevy of celebs including Mario Lopez, Kim Kardashian, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Alex Rodriguez.

Of course the question on everyone's mind was Team Edward or Team Jacob, given the love triangle that occurs in the third book of the series (sleeping bag scene anyone). Access Hollywood caught up with our favorite Yankee slugger, where he declared his team allegiance.

Alex Rodriguez

"Team Edward. You’re putting me on the spot now.”

A-Rod said his two daughters are into the series and he's impressed by the "Twilight" phenomenon.

“It’s a great experience. What they’re doing here with this brand is amazing. It’s an amazing film and you know, this film will probably last for decades to come. So, you can tell that people are very excited about the movie.”

Another Twihard is born! Alex was also questioned on his relationship status and confirmed his bachelorhood:

“I’m, single. I’m here having a good time enjoying LA.”

We bet you are! Isn't Cameron Diaz a local? I'm sure she revealed all her favorite spots prior to his arrival...pun intended.

Are you team Edward or Jacob, Tr3s Comunidad? Let us know below or @MTV3!

Swish! Not to toot our own horn, but Team Blogamole went 5 for 5 on our 2010 NBA Draft top 5 Predictions! During last week's 2010 NBA Draft, players were judged and selected according to playing ability, potential, character, and now — thanks to Team Blogamole — fashion sense.

It's been said, you only have one chance to make a strong first impression, so how did our most recent draft class measure it when it came to the Suit Game?

Sean Jean and Maserati's
Evan Turner (Ohio State) getting custom fit

Thanks to Sean Jean and Maserati's “Pre-Draft Fine Tailoring Experience” event at Sean Jean's flagship location on 5th Avenue in New York City, current NBA stars and top prospects entering the draft were provided an opportunity to get styled appropriately for Thursday night's event. Athletes were given Sean John Fine Tailored suits and select items from the sportswear and denim collections. Diddy has his hands in everything!

NBA Draft class attendees included: Evan Turner, Wesley Johnson, Ed Davis, DeMarcus Cousins, Gordon Hayward, Paul George, Xavier Henry, Greg Monroe, Derrick Favors, Ekpe Udoh, Patrick Patterson and Cole Aldrich. NBA players that attended were Blake Griffin, 2009-10 NBA rookie of the year Tyreke Evans, Al Harrington, and Taj Gibson.

Being the self-promoting genius that he is, Mr. Combs even shared a link to view photos of the event via Twitter:

“Check out the top NBA draft picks getting fitted in our suits at our Pre-Draft Fine Tailoring Event! RT http://j.mp/aA34sG “

Here are some draft selections and Team Blogamole's ratings:

John Wall

As Team Blogamole predicted, the number one selection was University of Kentucky's John Wall to the Washington Wizards. Although he wasn't one Diddy's attendees, the young man did alright for himself, we must say. Decked in a grey pinstriped suit, baby blue shirt the same color as the stripes with matching hankerchief, and what appeared to be a grey and blue paisley tie, Wall took a very classy approach and receives an A- in our book.

Evan Turner

The number two selection — also as we predicted — was Ohio State's Evan Turner to the Philadelphia 76ers. A recepient of the “Fine Tailoring Experience,” Wall played it safe in a grey suit, white shirt, and orange tie with matching handkerchief. Turner even Tweeted about his outfit:

“Feeling good right now. I have my gray suit on with my scarlet tie. Oh and the ohio state cuff links...so necessary... “

Overall, it was a good look and the suit fit beautifully. We'll give him a B+

It's had to believe, but it's been a year since the King of Pop passed too soon. In honor of the anniversary of his death, fans and celebs alike have been tweeting what Michael Jackson's profound influence on music meant to them.

Michael Jackson

AlejandroSanz Hoy un recuerdo para el grande Michel jackson.. No te olvidamos.
justinbieber 1 year ago 2day we lost the greatest entertainer that was and will ever be...Michael Jackson...he will be missed but never forgotten. RIP MJ

iamdiddy Can't believe its been a year without the legend... He lives on forever in our hearts + spirit!! RIP MICHAEL!!!
rickyrozay rip mj...greatest of all time!!

Parties dedicated in MJ's honor took place nationwide all weekend, with the ultimate tribute taking place at last night's BET Awards where Chris Brown, decked out in MJ gear and mimicking Jackson's choreography to hits like "Billie Jean" and "Remember the Time", visibly broke down while performing Jackson's "Man in the Mirror."

Of course fans, who haven't seen much of Brown since the singer plead guilty last summer for physically assaulting then girlfriend Rihanna, wondered if Brown's breakdown was genuine, however its plain to see that Chris was the perfect performer for the job, publicity stunt or not.

One year later, it seems the King of Pop is still forever in our musical hearts.

Lucky fans in Florida got to meet Sokka and Katara from “The Last Airbender” last week (June 22). Joined by his co-star Nicola Peltz, Jackson Rathbone took a break from his “Twilight” duties to pose for pictures and sign autographs at Adventura Mall in Miami.

The Last Airbender

“The Last Airbender,” directed by M. Night Shyamalan, is about a 12-year-old boy named Aang who figures out he is the lone Avatar. The Fire Nation wages war against the other “benders” and in order to defeat them, Aang must master all four elements and defeat the Fire Lord to restore balance to their world. We can't wait!

The Last Airbender

On his journey, Aang is accompanied by “Sokka,” a pessimistic jokester played Rathbone, and “Katara”, a waterbending mature motherly figure played by Peltz. Also starring in the movie is “Slumdog Millionaire” Dev Patel as Prince Zukko, and Cliff Curtis from NBC's “Trauma” as Firelord Ozai.

This is not the typical cast for a movie based on cartoon characters of Asian decent. We'll just have to see if Shyamalan can distract us from that fact with awesome special effects.

"The Last Airbender" is set to hit theaters July 1, 2010. For more amazing photos from the film, visit MTV Splash Page!

Legendary guitarist Carlos Santana is working on what is sure-to-be an iconic cover album and has enlisted some top names to help him.  The untitled rock album is due out in September and features Nas, Rob Thomas, Chris Daughtry, and Chris Cornell among others.

Carlos Santana

When Sony Music Chief Creative Officer Clive Davis suggested that Carlos Santana take on legendary songs, the famous guitarist had second thoughts:

"I was like, 'No, I don't know if I want to do this one, Clive. This one's a little challenging.' And he would stay on the phone for at least 45 minutes to an hour, three times in one year, and I was like, 'Oh, lord…' But then I started realizing that someone with that intense passion of commitment couldn't be wrong, so I had to trust him. And it was incredible."

Santana's track list so far includes Cream's "Sunshine of Your Love" (Rob Thomas), AC/DC's "Back in Black" (Nas), Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" (Chris Cornell), Def Leppard's "Photograph" (Chris Daughtry), Rolling Stones' "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" (Scott Weiland), Jimi Hendrix's "Little Wing" (Joe Cocker), and Deep Purple's "Smoke on the Water"  (Jacoby Shaddix).

On covering these classics, he continued:

"What I brought to the table is my heart, knowing that I complement, I don't compete. I brought my heart, trusting that there's enough in me of purity and innocence and genuineness that I couldn't possible, excuse the expression, fuck it up. I know Eric (Clapton). I know Jeff Beck. I know Jimmy Page. And they know me. I have supreme certainty and confidence that they're going to say, 'Hey man, I love what you did with my song."

We're sure they will!

Summer is here and we're LOVIN' all the music festivals and great opportunities to discover new artists! We want to hear from you — what events are you attending this summer? Tell us in the comments, and be sure to to keep it locked to MTVTr3s.com for highlights from the 2010 Latin American Music Conference, kicking off next week!!

Blogamole contributor Sharmaine Jones recently attended the 2010 Afro-Punk Festival, where a diverse crowd enjoyed outdoor music, skating, art and community. See the festival through a newbie's eyes, and then be sure to check out festival vet Sherise Martin's take.

By Sharmaine Jones

This year's 6th annual Afro-Punk Festival took place June 25 - 27, at Commodore Barry Park in Brooklyn, NY. As this was my first time attending the festival, I had no idea what to expect.

June 26: My Initiation
Upon entering the park, my senses were overwhelmed by skaters speeding down ramps, live music resonating through speakers, food BBQing on the grill, vendors ready to armor us with cool t-shirts and dress our walls with intriguing art, and — most importantly — by people of all ages and backgrounds mingling together to be a part of this “Afro-Punk” experience.

First, I decided to check out the area built for “The Best Trick” skate competition. The contest was open to the public and the contest winners received cash prizes including an all expense paid trip to the Xgames, courtesy of ESPN.

Before the competition started, all skaters were welcomed to use the ramps and rails to showcase their skills. There was a first aid station placed next to that area for obvious reasons. The skaters were clearly amateurs and we couldn't really tell how they were being rated, but it was entertaining, none-the-less.

Off to the side, there was a small area set up with games to involve and entertain the crowd between sets. Volunteers participated in a “paper, scissor, rock” competition, a staring contest, and to everyone's surprise, one of the bands set to perform even jumped into a contest — literally. The Bots indulged the crowd by jumping rope with a few volunteers. This was really cool and indicative of the sentiment that we were all there to hang, chill out, and have a good time.

We are proud to report George Lopez didn't admit to joke stealing like Carlos Mencia was accused of, back-in-the-day. The "Lopez Tonight" television host revealed that he stole a piece of Bill Cosby's leftover cigar after his performance at the Paso Robles fair in California. He may have been alright with snatching the clipped cigar, but Lopez still kept it clean by cutting off the end and smoking the rest of it.

George Lopez

We hope it was a Cohiba! One thing is for sure, Bill's luck definitely did rub off on him. George Lopez is set to celebrate his 100th episode tonight (June 25)!

Watch George Lopez admit to stealing Bill Cosby's cigar and let us know your favorite GL joke!
