Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals: Picasso couldn't have painted a better picture. After a dismal performance in Game 5, the Los Angeles Lakers clearly listened to Team Blogamole's advice, made the necessary adjustments, and ran the Boston Celtics off of the court in Game 6, forcing their epic Game 7 showdown.

Christina Aguilera (who killed it singing the national anthem), George Lopez, Jeremy Piven, Andy Garcia, Greg Kinnear, Courtney Cox-Arquette, Laura Dern, Ervin “Magic” Johnson, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, the unofficial 13th Laker Jack Nicholson and other celebs were present in the stands to witness the Lakers' triumph over the Celtics in the frenetic finale. Emotions were definitely running high!
The first quarter started off sloppy, with the players displaying early game jitters. Both teams played exceptional defense but neither could consistently score baskets. The terrible offense continued up until the fourth quarter, but Boston was still leading as they did for most of the game.

Here's where the game became interesting: The Lakers rallied back behind the play of Pau Gasol (19 points, 18 rebounds) and a 3 point play by Ron Artest (20 points) with 7:29 left to tie the game. The crowd was in a frenzy!

Bryant's free throws 90 seconds later gave the Lakers their first lead of the second half. A series of free throws later, the Lakers' lead extended to 6 with about 2 minutes left to play. They never turned back from there.
A few miraculous 3 pointers courtesy of Rajon Rodo (14 points, 8 rebounds 10 assists), Ray Allen (13 points) and Rasheed Wallace (11 points) in the final seconds provided entertainment but that's about all it did — the game was over.

On their home court, the L.A. Lakers became the 2010 NBA Champions for a second straight year, with the final score 83-79.
The Lakers will relish this title because they took it from the Celtics, their greatest rivals. With the win, the team has finally broken their “Game 7 curse.” Of the 12 times they played the Celtics in the finals, 5 of those series went the distance and the Lakers never won a game 7 — until last night.
The best celebrity tweet from last night had to be by George Lopez, who called Pau Gasol "El Champion…más chingón" while sharing this pic:

In a postgame interview, Kobe Bryant shared his delighted relief at their victory: "You know what, it feels surreal. I still don't know how we won that game. It just seemed like one of those games where definitely... but it felt like we were supposed to win. We just didn't know how it was going to happen."
In our opinion, the highlight of the entire night was Ron Artest's statement: "Well, first of all I want to thank everybody in my hood," Artest said in an ABC interview, "I definitely want to thank my doctors ... my psychiatrist, she really helped me relax a lot." (Huh??)
