Xtina's 'Bionic' LP Doing Poorly In US And UK

The numbers are in on Christina Aguilera's Bionic LP and they ain't good! The album, which hit stores June 8, took 3rd this week after the Glee and Eclipse soundtracks, selling a mere 110,000 copies.

Those aren't bad numbers per se, but when compared to Aguilera's Back to Basics LP which opened with 346,000 copies sold in its first week, that's literally a third of sales. Yikes! Is that what a four year hiatus will do?

Bionic is off to No. 2 in Switzerland, No. 3 in Austria, No. 4 in Spain and Ireland, No. 6 in Germany and Holland, and rises 16-4 in the Belgian region of Flanders. Although Bionic debuted at number one on the official UK Album Chart this week, Bionic is now her worse selling number one album in that region after pulling in only 24,000 copies. Ouch!

This definitely doesn't bode well for Christina, whose Live Nation summer tour has also been pushed back. No wonder she's feuding with Lady Gaga — she has to keep her name in the press somehow!
