It's good to see that Los Tigres Del Norte's humanitarianism runs in the family. Mexican American artist Mexia, the eldest son of Hernan Hernandez, has written and recorded "Todos Somos Arizona" in response to Arizona’s immigration law SB 1070.

Mexia commented on "Todos Somos Arizona," which is the first track on his debut album, Past Present and Future (out Fall 2010):
“I feel outrage and an obligation to continue my father’s legacy about speaking for Mexicans and poor people.”
Mexia continues to speak on immigration rights:
"I was born and raised here to think that this is the land of the free and the home of the brave but now we have to watch our back in our own backyard. It’s terrible to live in fear. Our grandmother was born in Jerome, Arizona, and we have other family and college age friends who live there. I think ‘What will happen to me if I leave their house without my wallet?'"
Want more? Mexia is scheduled to perform "Todos Somos Arizona" for the Voto Latino special, set to air on Univision on June 3.
