In our latest installment of Deep Thoughts, Blogamole contributor and "SATC2" super fan Simone Hilliard provides thoughtful analysis of the new flick and ruins it for you with new spoilers.
By Simone Hilliard
The first of the "Sex and the City 2" screening parties took place this morning (May 27) when the flick opened to new and old fans alike at 12:01 AM. The cinema was packed with women donned in their designer duds, ready to encounter the new lives of our SATC friends.
I anxiously journeyed to the multiplex and was pleasantly surprised at the lives creator Michael Patrick King carved out for my four favorite vixens.

The trailers and sneak peeks gave fans the storyline, no argument there. Yes, Carrie and Mr. Big have hit a tough spot in their marriage, Charlotte realizes motherhood is harder than she expected, Miranda is still straddling the work/life balance, and 52 year-old Samantha is still having all the sex; however, this film is the movie us SATC fans expected the first time around.
We have more from the exclusive "SATC2" screening, plus some juicy spoilers, after the jump! Read more...

We loved seeing Xtina tear up the 'Idol' stage Wednesday night (May 26), but it felt bittersweet after the news that the stylish singer had postponed her Bionic tour till 2011, due to "preparation and schedule conflicts."

On Tuesday (May 25), Aguilera addressed her fans with this statement:
“After reviewing the schedule with my team, I realized there was not enough time to put together and rehearse for a proper show, one that is at the caliber you expect from me or at the level I would present to my fans. In addition, my album has not even been released as yet and I would like for you all to become familiar with the music before you hear it live on tour.”
According to Xtina, her rehearsal time was cut short by her work on a new film and her upcoming album, Bionic. Ever the chisme king, Perez Hilton is claiming that poor ticket sales are to blame for the singer postponing her show, which was scheduled to start in July.
Stop sippin' the haterade, Perez! At least there's a silver lining: Xtina will still be performing at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards on June 6th!
If you missed her amazing 'Idol' performance last night, check out this clip:
We know, it's not the same as going to a live show. But hey! Here's a special heads up for our comunidad: Aguilera collaborated with Pitbull on a Spanish song for Bionic (specifically for her "Latin fans") titled "Desnudate."
Thanks for the love, Xtina! Now get your tour 'ish straightened out, pronto!

British artist/activist M.I.A. is known for many things: her crazy style, love of global rhythms — but mostly her political lyricism. She is a woman who definitely isn't afraid to speak her mind and question authority. Since her Arular debut, M.I.A. has lashed out against economic disfranchisement and invasion of privacy.
We weren't surprised to hear about M.I.A.'s latest targets: Google and Facebook. Are search engines and social networking giants teaching us to love Big Brother? M.I.A seems to think so. Who's watching you?

In the June/July issue of Nylon magazine, M.I.A., aka Maya Arulpragasam, raises her concerns about censorship and privacy on the Internet:
“Anybody who is called the government is right. And anybody who isn’t called the government is not right… And you know, all governments are connected to Google, and all governments can shift their search engines so only what they want you to see comes up… I want kids to be aware of this digital circumstance…
Everyone on the Internet is like, “Oh my God, come and join Facebook!” They’re all so optimistic… and really, everyone is f*cking you up behind the screens. And I don’t like that. It makes it difficult for me to interact with my fans knowing that. Google and Facebook were developed by the CIA, and when you’re on there, you have to know that.”
Whether you agree or disagree with what M.I.A. is saying, you have to admire her fervor. We should all take a page out of M.I.A.’s book and not be afraid to express our views on political issues.
M.I.A's forthcoming album, MAYA, is set to hit stores and digital outlets on July 13.
We're all about that "Born Free" video, M.I.A.! Team Blogamole salutes you!

When "No Bullsh--" premiered on Monday (May 24), it felt like Chris Brown's message to the world that Trey Songz and Twitter pal Bow Wow ain't got nothin' on him! Can you say "sexy"?

Directed by Collin Tilley, "No Bullsh--" contains steamy back shots and invading shower scenes. Let's just say that Breezy didn't leave any part of his co-star’s body untouched.

Earlier this week, a very disturbing photo of one of our favorite cartoons, "Dora the Explorer," permeated the blogosphere and text message threads.
The picture, in the form of a mug shot, shows Dora's left eye as bruised, while blood appears from her nose and mouth. Sick!

Even more disturbing is why she was taken into imaginary custody: "Illegal Border Crossing Resisting Arrest."
This is just one in a series of outrageous attacks on Latinos, riffing on recent deportation threats that seem inspired by Arizona's immigration law, SB 1070.

Who remembers the 2003 dance film, “Honey”? Anyone? Starring Jessica Alba, Joy Bryant, Lil Romeo and some other people, the film was a box office bore.
Despite lackluster reviews, “Honey 2” is coming to a theater near you in 2011. Here's the catch: according to PerezHilton.com, Alba isn't in it. Big surprise!

With production already in progress in Los Angeles, "Vampire Diaries" star Kat Graham has been cast to replace Jessica Alba in the sequel. Yawn.
Was Jessica recast or was she smart enough to turn this one down? Who knows, but Kat is a trained singer and dancer, so maybe she'll breathe some new life into this tired franchise.
Don’t fret Jessica Alba fans, you can catch her as a lady of the night in "The Killer Inside Me" in June and in one of the most anticipated films of the year: “Machete”!
If violence and Rodriguez flicks aren't your style, you can always catch her in the “Meet the Fockers” sequel in December!

Attention celebrities: Airport security rules apply to everyone! Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony were recently stopped while jet-setting in Moscow, due to baggage issues.
The couple were flying in a private jet with Naomi Campbell and her Russian beau Vladimir Doronin to celebrate the model's 40th birthday, but were unable to exit the plane — security detected a dagger in Marc's suitcase. Yikes!

Luckily for the couple, when they finally opened his luggage they found no weapon at all. Close call!
We thought taking off our shoes at security was annoying. Can you imagine how pissed J.Lo must have been? She's had enough weapons drama in her life for the both of them!

It looks like David Archuleta has the most loyal and die-hard fans on the Interwebz! Billboard.com recently created a virtual battle to decide which female and male "American Idol" grad was the best contestant in the show's history.
Thousands of votes poured in and nominated the "Crush singer" and county songstress Carrie Underwood at the top of the list. Underwood trumped all of las damas, but Archuleta dominated the competition with 92% of the votes!

Here is what he had to say about his win:
"[Winning the poll] is really flattering. I guess the fans I have are just really supportive. I think it's cool that people consider me their favorite...Carrie's just so successful. She's sold millions and millions of albums and she has a great voice and a great personality."
Besides this victory, Archie fans have have another reason to celebrate; the chart-topper is preparing to release a new album later this fall. A new single is also in the works for the end of this summer.
Now that's music to our ears!
