Deep Thoughts: 'SATC2' Spoilers And Analyis From A Super Fan

In our latest installment of Deep Thoughts, Blogamole contributor and "SATC2" super fan Simone Hilliard provides thoughtful analysis of the new flick and ruins it for you with new spoilers.

The first of the "Sex and the City 2" screening parties took place this morning (May 27) when the flick opened to new and old fans alike at 12:01 AM. The cinema was packed with women donned in their designer duds, ready to encounter the new lives of our SATC friends.

I anxiously journeyed to the multiplex and was pleasantly surprised at the lives creator Michael Patrick King carved out for my four favorite vixens.

The trailers and sneak peeks gave fans the storyline, no argument there. Yes, Carrie and Mr. Big have hit a tough spot in their marriage, Charlotte realizes motherhood is harder than she expected,  Miranda is still straddling the work/life balance, and 52 year-old Samantha is still having all the sex; however, this film is the movie us SATC fans expected the first time around.

Besides the quartet jetting off on an all expense paid trip to Abu Dhabi; the flick is honest. The women have aged, their problems have matured, and yet we still identify with the 40 somethings like we did when they were a clueless bunch running around NYC. The movie's core is easily centered around the theme of Carrie's latest novel, I Do? Do I?, and is a reflection of what one should do, when everything they thought they wanted, isn't necessarily what they thought it'd be.

If you're looking for a heavy flick like the first film, stay home. If you want laughs, flirty Patricia Field fashion, and a lighthearted comedy where camel-toe jokes are a dime a dozen and a menopausal Samantha needs supplements for sex, then you'll definitely enjoy the latest installment in the SATC franchise.

We've got some spoilers for you after the photo of our "SATC2" stars. They're major, so think twice before scrolling down!

1. Carrie only kisses Aidan, and we were really hoping for a hook-up!
2. Charlotte's character falls flat again with her only big screen scene centered around her complaining about her kids and getting a serious case of camel-toe, or 'sand wedge' as they nicknamed it.
3. Samantha gets arrested for 'kissing' on the beach in Abu Dhabi, getting the foursome kicked out of their all expense paid trip.
4. Miranda quits her job.
5. Carrie and Mr. Big contemplate taking a two day break from their marriage once a week, with one of them living at Carrie's old apartment during that period.
6. We would have liked to see more of Aidan and the ever-so-sexy Smith Jared.
7. Miranda might win the award for best dressed.
8. Two sex scenes, both feature Samantha, none of which are graphic.
9. Stanford and Anthony have an "open" marriage.
10. Mr. Big rewards Carrie's cheating with a black diamond...um...yeah.
