What a year it has been for Sandra Bullock! "The Blind Side" actress is set to receive the “MTV Generation Award” during the upcoming “2010 MTV Movie Awards” for her tremendous portfolio of work over the past two decades.

Sandra will be the first female to be honored with the coveted entertainment award for being a generational icon. Her action role alongside Keanu Reeves in the 1994 hit movie “Speed” made her a household name and set her apart from the rest of the leading ladies.
Since then, Bullock has starred in over twenty five films including the blockbuster hits, “Crash,” “Miss Congeniality,” “Hope Floats,” and "The Proposal," which was nominated as a fan fave along with her Academy Award-winning film "The Blind Side."
The “MTV Generation Award” is the award show's highest honor, acknowledging an actor who has captivated MTV fans throughout the years. Past honorees include Ben Stiller, Adam Sandler, Mike Myers, Tom Cruise and Jim Carrey.
Hosted by Aziz Ansari, the “2010 MTV Movie Awards” will be broadcast LIVE from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, CA on Sunday, June 6 at 9p.m./8p.m.C.
