CineMas Cool: Gael García Bernal's Lil' Bro Stars In 'Daniel & Ana'

Exactly one year ago, "Daniel & Ana" premiered at Cannes. The controversial flick was finally released in Mexico. I can’t wait for it to hit theaters in the U.S. — it will be sure to freak everyone out!

Disturbing family dramas aren't new terrain, but Michel Franco's first feature film was inspired by true events, which makes it extremely shocking: a brother and sister are kidnapped and forced to have... relations. The film deals mostly with the aftermath of that event.

"Daniel & Ana" stars Marimar Vega and Dario Yazbek Bernal. If Dario’s last name sounds familiar it’s because he is Gael García Bernal’s 20-year-old, younger, more curly-haired half brother.

Incest isn’t new territory for the Bernal clan. In 2005, Gael played a man who falls in love, impregnates and then murders his sister in “The King.” Sweet guy.
