Juanes is no stranger to helping the political and social environment in Colombia, but a recent political campaign has the philanthropic star fuming. The "A Dios Le Pido" singer claims that Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos unlawfully used his hit song "La Camisa Negra" for the Partido de la U candidate's video advertisement, which is circling on YouTube with dubbed lyrics referring to Santos.

Juanes took to his twitter page to vent on the issue:
"They are using one of my songs in the campaign of Juan Manuel Santos without authorization... Abuse."
We don't know which side of the fence Juanes stands on, but perhaps he isn't a fan of Santos' strict military-based view on the country's security. The presidential election, set for May 30th, looks like a tight race between Santos and the Green Party's Antanas Mockus, who has a peaceful anti-corruption view on government.
Santos' camp recently responded to the accusations:
"Juan Manuel Santos' campaign is NOT using Juanes' song for publicity ... We reiterate that the video circulating on YouTube is not an official campaign one ... The images that appear in the video are official campaign [images] and can be downloaded by anyone from Santos' website."
It appears that the infamous video is no where in sight! We scoped out YouTube and Santos' official page, but found no trace of it. Very interesting, don't you think?
