Robert Pattinson Shares Hip Hop Dreams With Oprah

We never pegged RPattz as a rapper!  When Robert Pattinson appeared on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" (airing today, May 13th - Pattinson's 24th Birthday), the British actor revealed his teen rapping aspirations.

"I used to want to be a rapper when I was, like, 14."

Pattinson was joined on the show by co-stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner to promote the release of "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" in June.

After performing "Never Think" and "Let Me Sign" on the 2008 Twilight soundtrack, fans were made privy to Robert Pattinson's exceptional musical skills.

On "Oprah," RPattz explained that his interest in American movies, music and other entertainment helped him develop his American accent as Edward in "Twilight."

"But Kristen thinks I do the most terrible American accent."

 
Stewart laughed in response:

 "No, no I don't. Occasionally, some word will come out, and I'll be like, 'We don't say that!' "

Of course, Pattinson did not pursue his youthful dreams of becoming an emcee, but don't discount RPattz the musician just yet! Robert has already recorded a few songs but says he's "too scared" to release any of them.

When asked if he would ever venture into a full music career, Pattinson revealed that he may someday, and admitted that he's done a few open mic sessions in the past. Of course, rumors of an 2011 album from the vamp have been circulating for weeks.
