Chino Y Nacho Claim #1 Spot On Billboard's Hot Latin Charts

Chino y Nacho’s single “Nina Bonita” has been climbing the charts since it debuted on April 6. Available on their hit compilation album, Mi Niña Bonita, today marks the single's second week in the #1 slot on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs.

The Venezuelan duo’s compilation of recent hits proves their musical aptitude throughout a variety of styles, such as reggaetón, reggae, salsa, club and ballads. The reggaetón sound was inspired by reggaetón artist Don Omar, who mentored them after the duo broke away from their boy band, Calle Ciega.

According to Telemundo, it’s been close to 15 years since a Venezuelan artist held the #1 spot on the Billboard charts. Ricardo Montaner reined in September 1994 with “Quiesiera.”

Just two weeks ago, Chino y Nacho recently attended the Latin Billboard Awards in Puerto Rico to present "Regional Mexican Airplay Artist of the Year" with Sandra Echeverría. The duo will be performing their hit at L.A. Live’s The Congo Room on Thursday, May 20th.
