From football to futbol: looks like Kimmy K. has found a new professional athlete to chop down those cakes! Fresh from her break-up with New Orleans' Saints player Reggie Bush, Kim Kardashian was caught canoodling with Real Madrid soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo at a Madrid restaurant this week!

According to a source who spotted the couple:

"[Kim] and Ronaldo were kissing and very affectionate. They looked to be getting on really well, laughing the whole time."

Steamy! Apparently the duo went back to Ronaldo's home after dinner and continued to hang-out for four hours before Kardashian finally left. Wonder what happened? ;-)

Kim's been quite the jet-setter in recent weeks! She's tweeted about trips to Miami, New York, and her upcoming trip to Australia — yet, no mention of Madrid. What are you hiding, Kimmy? Cristiano is hot! You should parade him around as much as possible — we love a risqué romance!

Team Blogamole can't blame Kimmy K., athletes are hot! Mi gente, no se olviden to check out all the hot player action on "Rock N Gol," airing June 3rd on MTV Tr3s at 9pm EST!

In the mean time, stay tuned to Blogamole and MTVTr3s.com for your Rock N Gol fix!

Imagine having to (and not for fun) assemble your own PC by foraging for discarded components. Sound difficult? Now, imagine having to also devise your own internet connection out of cell phones and flash drives. This is the reality for Cuba's 32-year-old star blogger, Yoani Sanchez, but change is coming for the Cuban online community.

At the the seventh annual meeting of Roots of Hope, participants listened to Sanchez speak over a weak cell phone connection originating in Cuba. She exemplifies a small but growing Cuban tech community that has learned how to go online — by any means necessary. This "hacker mindset," along with a new government fiber optic initiative and Brazil's "Telecentro" program, is promising to challenge the Cuban status quo.

Telecentros are public computer labs that use open source software and provide free Internet access. MediaShift has reported that 10,000 of them are scheduled to be in service in Cuba by the end of the 2010. This will be a great resource for locals without other means — only 3 percent of Cuba's 11 million citizens currently have cell phones, giving it the lowest cell phone penetration in Latin America.

After Fidel Castro took power in Cuba 51 years ago, the resulting U.S. embargo limited the island from the technologies necessary for modernization. Hampered by Cuban government censorship,
digital media have been slow to get off the ground in Cuba.

The Obama administration is also contributing to Cuba's growing technological resources. In March, the Treasury Department modified trade sanctions to allow the export of social media and related technologies to the island.

With better internet access and free open software, the Cuban hacker community may find new ways to harness digital media for social goals. The question is whether or not Cuban officials will, like China, enforce Internet censors to control content and trace dissidents.

But if other Cubans are anything like Yoani Sanchez, the aftermath of this new injection of technology will be something to behold.

From Yoani’s blog post, Transgressing The Limits:

Seven months after they warned me, in a dark police station, that “you have transgressed all the limits,” I continue traveling to Pinar del Río to conduct the Blogger Journey. Instead of curing the virus of expressing ourselves online, that December 6th ban on our meeting has fueled, in many, the desire to become infected.

It's Rapper versus Red Sox! According to the Daily News, Jay-Z and a business partner are suing Boston slugger David Ortiz, accusing the Boston slugger of trademark infringement for naming his Santo Domingo club Forty-Forty, in hopes of capitalizing on the rap star’s fame.

Jay-Z and David Ortiz

Ortiz has countered that the club name references the rare baseball feat of hitting 40 home runs and stealing 40 bases in one season. Jay-Z’s club isn’t able to claim any formal rights to the name Forty-Forty in the Dominican Republic — but they’re trying to go after Ortiz through the US registration for the web site, www.fortyforty.net.

"David Ortiz was at the club at least twice, and certainly knew of it," said Jay-Z's lawyer, Peter Raymond, of the firm ReedSmith.

The rapper, whose chain of sports bars can be found in Tokyo, New York City, and other locations, is seeking over $5 million in damages and for Ortiz to forfeit any use of the 40/40 name.

Tr3s Comunidad, do you think that Ortiz has the right to name his establishment Forty-Forty? Sound off in the comments or @MTV3!

Who knew 140 characters could mean so much? Social networking site Twitter made history yesterday (April 14th) when it was announced that the network's quirky curtailed messages, trending topics, and hashtags will be forever remembered in the Library of Congress, the 210-year-old guardian of knowledge and cultural history.

The library will archive the collected works of Twitter, whose users currently send a daily flood of 55 million messages.

Library officials explained the agreement as another step in the library’s embrace of digital media, The New York Times reported. Twitter, the Silicon Valley start-up, declared it was “very exciting that tweets are becoming part of history.”

The Twitter archive will join the ambitious “Web Capture” project at the library that began a decade ago. That effort includes web pages, online news articles and documents centering around current events.

"The library reached out to the company a few months ago about adding Twitter’s content to the national archives," said Matt Raymond, the library’s director of communications. He cited Twitter’s “immense impact on culture and history,” being a vital communication tool during the 2008 election of President Barack Obama.

This, of course, begs us and all Tweeters to ask... is this a violation of our privacy? Sure, Twitter is a public site, but what about folks with protected tweets? Doesn't this threaten user privacy? This may not lessen everyone's fears, but Mr. Raymond confirms that the archive will be available only for scholarly and research purposes.

Hmmm...Twitter notes as a social archive of the 21st century? Gotta love that!

What do you say, Tr3s Comunidad? Will you tweet your way into history or has this discouraged you from updating your Tweeples? Weigh in below or @MTV3!

The interwebs is abuzz with the news that during President Obama's address today (April 15), at Florida's Kennedy Space Center, our commander in chief announced his plans for a manned mission to Mars.

According to InformationWeek, President Obama called on NASA scientists and engineers to launch a mission to Mars within three decades.

In case you were wondering, the moon is so last century. Obama told NASA officials they should focus on conquering new frontiers instead of revisiting the lunar surface, where astronauts have already set foot. The plan would terminate the space shuttle program by year's end, outsource launches to private contractors, and cancel major portions of a project that would have returned humans to the moon by 2020.

The space agency will receive a $6 billion funding increase over the next five years under his proposed federal budget.

Obama added: "By the mid-2030s, I believe we can send humans to orbit Mars and return them safely to Earth, and a landing on Mars will follow."

As a sci-fi geek, I am all for space travel — but the idea of earmarking $6 billion for excursions to Mars seems, well, bananers. Why? Let's look at some standing issues that could definitely benefit from $6 billion dollars:

The Deficit
Oh HAI, aren't we still in debt? Last I checked, we owed over 12 TRILLION dollars and counting. Did we forget that? Planning to go to Mars any time soon is like me planning to buy a chinchilla fur muumuu when I still owe (insert unholy amount) on my college loans. How can our President counsel us to spend wisely during a recession and then decide that a $6 billion trip to Mars would be prudent at any juncture?

Is the cure for AIDS on Mars? No? Then why don't we pay back all these countries we're borrowing from, before we're "that guy" at the party who keeps bumming cigarettes and asking for a ride home. I hate that guy!

Education
Remember back in history class, when your teacher pulled out that taped up textbook that still used the words "coloreds" and thought the President was Eisenhower? Does anyone remember that, or did that just happen to me? Anyhoo, my humble position is that the U.S. Education System is a reeking cow pie of FAIL. Teachers are overworked and underpaid, there's an overwhelming lack of technology, sex education is a useless LULZfest, students memorize a battery of test questions instead of actually learning, and ensuring the madness continues is No Child Left Behind.

Before President Obama gives any more money to NASA, I challenge him to contact these children and say "Sorry, kids. We can't fix it so you can go back to your school, but guess what! One day you can go to Mars!"

I bet every teacher in America can think of a better way to use $6 billion, how about you?

Employment
I'm sure a future Mars space station will create more openings at NASA. However, for the rest of the Americans who are still struggling to find jobs, perhaps a better use of $6 billion would be to offer tax breaks, free job training and small business grants. Just sayin'.

In his speech, Obama said the space program is not a luxury but a necessity for the United States. I think there are several veterans, cancer patients, domestic abuse victims, stuggling immigrants, overwhelmed business owners and college students facing very real issues who would disagree. Even Neil Armstrong thinks this plan stinks!

2030 may seem like a long time from now, but if we can find billions that we don't have to spend on Mars planning, let's dig up a billion or two for these three issues as well.

DIY defenders of justice, grab your capes! "Kick-Ass" is hitting theaters tomorrow (April 16) but the fun doesn't have to stop there — the complete "Kick-Ass" comic series is now available for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. PSP users can even download directly to their device!

Kick-Ass

John Romita Jr, artist and co-creator of Kick-Ass, had this to say:

“I'm excited about these advances in technology that I have been hearing about for, what seems like ten years. Now it has arrived, and all I can think of is that it advances the state of ‘comic books’ in that it will direct people to the source material. I believe this will cement the tangible material, the comics themselves, into the hands and minds of future ‘young’ generations!

It always comes down to the quality of writing and the sequential art. Holding a comic and turning the page for more will forever be a novelty, even with advanced technology as an option.”

To download "Kick-Ass" comics to your mobile devices, use the Comixology, Iverse and Panefly applications or search on your PSP.

"Kick-Ass" the movie is director Matthew Vaughn's big-screen vision for the hit comic series about a teenage (surprise) comics fan who decides to become a costumed vigilante. It stars Aaron Johnson, Nicolas Cage, Mark Strong, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Chloe Moretz.

What do you think, Tr3s Comunidad? Are you psyched for "Kick-Ass"? Will you download the comics? Let us know here in the comments or @MTV3!

Last night Team Blogamole watched the bittersweet "Ugly Betty" finale, but a certain @markindelicato tweet we stumbled upon made us squeal with delight — Yes, Betty's cute nephew Justin wants to be on "Glee"!

Mark Indelicato

"Ugly Betty" star Mark Indelicato was on Twitter last night, interacting with fans during the final episode. Just a day before, in the midst of touching farewells, he gushed about wanting to join New Directions:

"Missed Glee :(... I want to be on Glee SO BADLY. I don't think you guys understand... I'm gonna do that Myspace submission....I'm so serious."

Back in March, Indelicato revealed to Teen Vogue that he was interested in being on the show, so perhaps something is in the works! As fans of "Glee," Mark indelicato and better roles for Latinos, Team Blogamole thinks a guest spot or (gasp) more would be EPIC!

The stylish teen already celebrated his 16th birthday a few months early, but wouldn't it be a great birthday present to see him appear on "Glee" this summer?

Just like his character Justin, Mark is wise beyond his years. He comforted fans during the finale, sharing this message:

"Thank you for the kind words. I hope Ugly Betty has left you with only one message 'Love yourself.' If you can do that, you can do anything."

Can't get enough of Justin? Unfortunately he now only exists on the web and in syndication, but you can follow his blog, markindelicato.blogspot.com, where he writes about everything from fashion to his thoughts on the Grammys.

Tr3s Comunidad, would you like to see Mark Indelicato on "Glee"? If so, post #markonglee in the comments or @MTV3! Let's make it happen!

Julieta Venegas has been rather mum on her baby daddy details, and we respect that, but looks like the folks over at Latin Gossip are reporting that the mami-to-be has been procreating with an Argentine!

Those are the only details the Tijuana crooner will release on the man in question, which confirms initial reports that the unnamed daddy is an Argentinian psychologist!

Felicidades a Julieta otra vez! We know this bebe will be good looking (Argentine men are HOT) and talented! Wonder when her bump will get too big for that trademark accordion!

Tr3s Comunidad, what do you think of Julieta keeping her baby daddy a secret? Inquiring minds need to know so weigh in below or @MTV3!
