In an effort to enhance their summer offerings with a "bold and spicy story," the "The Bold and The Beautiful" is airing a reggaeton-fueled, five-episode arc — featuring none other than Daddy Yankee! Tune in to CBS from Tuesday, June 1 to Monday, June 7, 2010. Here's the scoop:

"The story takes place during a raucous party full of young people who are ready to take a break from the scholarly pursuits of high school. We conceived it as a modern urban take on a masquerade ball," says Emmy-winning Executive Producer and Head Writer Bradley P. Bell.

Daddy Yankee's hypnotic thump is the perfect intoxicating elixir to entice some of the characters into doing things they might not ordinarily do. The consequences for the Forrester family will be devastating, leading to some of the series' most dramatic situations yet."

Be on the lookout — El Jefe will also perform the broadcast television premiere performance of his single, "Que Es La Que Hay" right on B&B!

Among other tracks, Yankee will delight the Forrester family and soap fans with "Grito Mundial," which was chosen to be on the official 2010 FIFA World Cup soundtrack. Mundial, Yankee's latest studio album, will be released April 27.

Daddy Yankee is in serious hustle mode. With a new women's fragrance slated to launch at the end of May, sponsorship deal with Coors Light, his TV show, "Tuneame la Nave," along with a media campaign that includes a billboard in New York's Times Square, there's no telling with this artist will think of next.

As Yankee put it best on Twitter, "No paramos!!!"

McDonald's just announced (April 20) that singer and actor PeeWee will be joining the 2010 FiestaTour: McDonald's Music Experience! Today, PeeWee will be at South Miami High School. Other stops throughout the year will include Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and New York.

During school performances, PeeWee will talk to students about the importance of education and pursuing goals and dreams, perform a couple of songs and sign autographs.

"Having the opportunity to talk to students about the importance of education will be an experience I will always cherish," said PeeWee. "I am honored to participate in this unique tour that celebrates Latin music and I applaud McDonald's for providing this experience that so many music fans will enjoy across the country."

PeeWee has come a long way since Kumbia All Starz. His debut album Yo Soy was released in 2009 and he recently participated in the Mexican soap opera "Camaleones".

In case you missed it, PeeWee also appeared on Quiero Mis Quinces — Teresa lost it in that episode (can you blame her?).

In its fourth year, FiestaTour McDonald's is a traveling music exhibit that offers guests an up close and personal view of memorabilia belonging to some of the most popular Latin music artists. Wall displays also include guitars, gold albums and shoes featuring artists such as Chayanne, Daddy Yankee, Tito "El Bambino", David Bisbal, Pepe Aguilar, among others.

The 2010 Coachella music festival went down in Indio, California this past weekend (April 16-18). While the performance roster boasted unexpected big names like Jay-Z, the event was matched by an equal amount of surprise A-list celebrities including Katy Perry, John Mayer, K-Stew, Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, and Lindsay Lohan.

Hov powered through over 30 songs during his Friday night set, beginning with his recent Blueprint 3 hit "Run This Town" and ending with the clever choice "Encore."  While Dr. Dre was rumored to have joined Sean Carter's set, it was wife Beyonce who took stage after cheering from the sidelines and sang, "I wanna be forever young," as fireworks erupted. With the exception of his better half, Hov performed solo and took the title as the festival's first hip-hop headliner.

California first lady Maria Shriver was unexpectedly on hand to enjoy the set with Beyoncé, and video screens showed President Obama doing the "Dirt Off Your Shoulder" gesture. Hot!

While Hov may have headlined Friday's festivities, it was Puerto Rican duo Calle 13 who got the crowd hype mid afternoon. The New York Times quotes the reggaetoneros' performance as:

"Calle 13 wasn’t rap-rock — it was rap across the Americas. Residente, can be raunchy, furious and idealistic, often in the same song. Calle 13’s large band, complete with horn section, percussion, theremin, and one musician whose entire job seemed to be making things whistle — plastic tube, bird-whistle, teakettle spout — stoked a pan-American dance party, and Residente’s explanation of the Spanish lyrics to one song, “Fiesta de Locos,” could apply to most of the jubilant set: “At the end,” he said, “it’s like a huge party criticizing everyone.”

We knew Residente and Visitante wouldn't disappoint! Hopefully next year we'll see more Latin talent added to the line-up.

Now in its 11th year, Coachella set attendance records in 2010, selling out 75,000 three-day passes. And while Jay-Z may have had a huge part in the surge of ticket sales, we're sure Calle 13 and other acts like Faith No More, Gorillaz, Pavement, and Muse held their own, as well.

Team Blogamole had a special visitor last week: Rico Rodriguez, from the ABC comedy hit "Modern Family"!

Giselle sat down with the Rico for this exclusive entrevista.

From the moment he walked into the building, Rico was so animated and in such a great mood! I knew it was going to be a good interview.

Archie decided to set the record "straight" via Twitter — After Saturday's (April 17) appearance at Club 57 in NYC, David Archuleta spent the last few days tweeting some distance between himself and the inevitable gay rumors. Archuleta said:

"Last night in New York I got invited to go and see my friend Charice perform. Mental note to self: always ask where before you go! Wasn’t my kind of place lol, and I had no clue! I guess you live and learn.”

“The upside was that Charice was awesome, and she has an incredible voice. Hope that clears things up! Been seeing some of the tweets.. sheesh! Can get crazy quick. NO worries all, I wouldn’t get into things like that intentionally haha. Hope you guys have a good Sunday!"

So, folks - there you have it! However, we're not sure how this "accident" happened exactly. Last time we checked, going to a gay club doesn't make you gay. Incidentally, going to a yoga class doesn't automatically make you flexible either.

Unfortunately, all of Archie's efforts to deny the rumors offended a few fans, so he followed up with this:

"...I have friends who are gay, and they’re great people. Whether they’re gay or not doesn’t change how I think of them... I have nothing against anyone, I’m sorry if that’s how it came across. I’m just not into the partying scene lol."

We hate to break it to Archie, but there are a lot of gay folks who aren't into the partying scene either - but OK! You're straight, we get it! Hopefully the gay Twitter panic is over and we can move on to other things, like complaining about Eyjafjallajökull.

"They just f*cked with the wrong Mexican!"

Machete fans, your time has come. Robert Rodriguez's flick about the blade-wielding, ex-Federale will be released Labor Day weekend 2010, Variety confirms. "Machete" is based on Rodriguez's faux trailer for "Grindhouse," in which a mysterious day laborer (with a large knife collection) is hired to assassinate a Senator, only to be double-crossed and nearly killed. Now, he’s out for revenge.

Danny Trejo, who plays the lead, recently sat down with IGN Movies and had this to say about the upcoming film:

"It is going to be awesome. We duplicate scenes from the trailer in the movie. What that movie has is the three B's, what I like to call the three B's. And what that is is babes, bullets and blood. And then it's got machetes, too. The film takes off from the trailer and then it just gets so over the top. I think the movie really lives up to the trailer. I'm really, really proud of it."

After shooting such an intense action film, Saldana's wake-up music tastes have changed from easy listening to hard bodied! Drawing from her latest picks, the starlette told us which hip hop artists have what it takes to join "The Losers":

Ten years after exploding onto the hip hop scene and becoming Spain's most celebrated rapper, La Mala Rodriguez is back with a new sound — made for the dance floor. With her new album Dirty Bailarina dropping on May 18, the sultry Española is tearing through the blogosphere with a new single, "No Pidas Perdón."

Dirty Bailarina was recorded in the U.S. with American producer Focus, the same man behind Beyoncé, Dr. Dre, Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera and other chart-toppers. It will be interesting to hear what La Mala can create around this level of production.

The singer's recent collaborations with Akon, Bajofondo and Calle 13 tell us that there's no danger La Mala's grown tired of being a wordsmith.

You can stream her classic tracks right now on La Mala's MySpace page but it's no secret: the "No Pidas Perdón" leak can be found all over the interwebz!

We have a feeling that we're going to be hearing “Mi madre va a llorar, tu madre va a llorar” pumpin' from car windows este verano, no creen?

Shaki is going to Africa! Freshlyground announced on Friday (April 16) that their song with the Colombian pop star has been chosen as the official 2010 FIFA World Cup anthem!

Shakira will perform "Time for Africa" with the South African band at the World Cup kickoff concert in Soweto, South Africa, on June 10. According to Yahoo! News, the song is expected to be released to radio stations across the world next week and will be available for download beginning April 26.

The fine philanthropist has been doing a lot of traveling lately — Shaki was recently in Haiti to scout a location for a school she's building through her Pies Descalzos (Barefoot) Foundation.
