No secret — Team Blogamole loves MTV Movies! Our colleagues Brian Jacks and Matt Harper recently completed a most geektastic achievement: re-creating the "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" movie trailer using nothing but Legos.
We want to play with toys all day too (hello, Silly Bands!), but we're not hatin'. Here are two minutes of stop-motion goodness:
Aren't the pint-sized versions of Jake Gyllenhaal, Ben Kingsley, Gemma Arterton and Alfred Molina adorable?
Let's compare it to the live-action trailer, after the jump!
We think the MTV Movies guys did a pretty fantastic job! Kudos, homies.
Disney's "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" hits theaters on May 28th. The film is a video game adaptation, based on Jordan Mechner's classic franchise which started way back in 1989. The original release's groundbreaking (for the time) visuals were later enhanced and inserted into a three-dimensional landscape in more recent iterations, with more story written to wrap itself around the physics puzzle-based gameplay.
The coming movie is based largely on the first of these rebooted-for-3D games, also subtitled "The Sands of Time," though there are elements of the two follow-ups: "Warrior Within" and "The Two Thrones."

Tr3s Comunidad, if you could re-create any movie trailer with Legos, which would it be? Tell us in the comments or @MTV3!
