The underlying theme at last night's (April 29) Latin Billboard Music Awards was tropical elegance. The awards were held on the island nation of Puerto Rico, marking the first time the event was held outside of the continental U.S. in its 21-year history, and the fashion definitely reflected its Caribbean vibe.

As if you could make Latinos any sexier, the winners, presenters, nominees, and overall attendees were decked in spring couture including yellow, fuchsia, teal, lavender, white, and coral ballgowns, and a few even donned a classic black.

Our favorites included Nelly Furtado's yellow strapless accompanied by gaudy gold accessories, Thalia's teal sweetheart cut ruffled mini, and Mariana Vicente's key hole revealing coral gown was the perfect mix of sexy chic.

A few damas dared to reveal an exposed back, and we thought it looked great on Sophia Del Carmen and Carmen Villalobos.

The men were suited and booted appropriately in well cut black tuxes like Ricky Martin and Luis Fonsi, while Wisin y Yandel and Daddy Yankee dressed the part in different shades of gray.

The tropical theme of the night was further reflected in its big winner Aventura, el grupo credited for re-energizing the tropical music scene. The Dominican Bachata powerhouse took home a total of 9 trophies! Their awards included Latin Album and Digital Album of the Year for 2009 The Last, as well as the newly created Latin artist of the year award, which combines achievements on both the Top Latin Albums sales chart and Hot Latin Songs airplay chart.

Following Aventura's domination was Puerto Rican reggaeton artist Tito "El Bambino" who walked home from the Thursday night's ceremony with seven trophies. One of the honors he received was Hot Latin Song Male Artist of the Year.

Other musicians who were handed multiple awards included Luis Fonsi who bagged four awards and reggaeton duo Wisin & Yandel who managed to snatch three kudos.

A special honoree of the awards show, meanwhile, was Marc Anthony who received Billboard Spirit of Hope Award for his philanthropic efforts. A Lifetime Achievement Award was also presented to Mexican icons Los Temerarios.

Larry Hernanadez won the New Artist of the Year award and the Black Eyed Peas received the award for Crossover Artist of theYear, while Alejandro Sanz featuring Alicia Keys won hot Latin song in the vocal event for "Looking for Paradise."

For the third year in a row, Espinoza Paz won the songwriter of the year award, while for the second consecutive year, Armando Avila and Arpa Musical won producer and publisher of the year awards, respectively.

Nominees were announced on February 14th and leading the pack for most nominations this year was Tito "El Bambino" with a total of 18 nods followed by Wisin y Yandel with 14 nominations and Aventura with 12. Other Latin stars with multiple nods included Paulina Rubio, Shakira, Nelly Furtado, Espinoza Paz, Luis Fonsi, and Banda el Recodo.

(For more fashion, check out our Latin Billboard Music Awards gallery!)

The awards, presented by State Farm in association with T-Mobile, aired live from Coliseo de Puerto Rico Jose Miguel Agrelot in San Juan and featured 14 performances by more than 20 acts including Chayanne, Thalia, Marc Anthony, Paulina Rubio, Wyclef, Pitbull, David Bisbal, Juan Luis Guerra, and many more.

The Billboard Latin Music Awards began in 1990 and grew out of the Billboard Music Awards program from Billboard Magazine, an industry publication charting the sales and radio airplay success of musical recordings.

The awards honor the most popular albums, songs and performers in Latin music, as determined by sales and radio airplay data used to compile Billboard's weekly charts during the one-year period of Feb. 7, 2009-Jan. 30, 2010.

Finalists, and the eventual winners, are determined by the performance of new recordings on Billboard's sales charts including Top Latin Albums and airplay charts including Hot Latin Songs. Album categories were limited to titles that didn't appear before the Nov. 8, 2008, issue and excluded finalists from the prior year's awards.

If you're a guy with a vast agricultural empire or an aspiring mob boss, your best strategy is to have a lot of female friends — they are more likely to help you out. According to a new report, women are taking to the casual gaming environment in greater numbers than men. 28% play games such as FarmVille and Mafia Wars; men were 6 percentage points less likely to do so.

“Women are particularly attracted to short, casual games involving an active community like FarmVille, Cafe Wars or Pet Society,” said Tom Smith, managing director of Trendstream, in a statement. “Women also spend more time on social networks in general.”

Does this mean that social gamers who are female are less likely to be "true" gamers? Gamasutra doesn't think so. It is estimated that close to 40% of all World of Warcraft players are female, or almost 3 million players.

Despite recent findings, it would be inaccurate to suggest that women are not interested in shooting and highly competitive games. If you need proof, watch this episode of True Life!

Smith's statement may not ring true with all female gamers, but social gaming is definitely now an integral part of web — nearly one-half of US social network users now play social games, according to Lightspeed Research and Trendstream’s Global Web Index.

eMarketer has stated that social gaming is the fifth most popular social networking activity, ahead of watching videos or searching for new contacts — but what does this mean for the ladies? Whether you're a "Female Gamer" or "Girl Gamer," check those targeted ads running next to FarmVille and you'll figure it out:

Featured travel deals, shopping coupons and spa packages — increased female activity means that brands are taking advantage of this space by attempting to engage with female consumers — through casual games. Hearst Magazines has added social gaming features to many online titles, including GoodHousekeeping.com and Redbook.com.

To the uninitiated, offline/online gaming and play in virtual worlds may seem like a man's world, but console suppliers are definitely not turning away their female audience, or their money.

Microsoft's Xbox 360 spokesperson had this to say:

"Certainly social networking functionality like Twitter and Facebook appeal to a female audience. Studies have found that in general, most social networks have more female users than male, including Twitter (about 59% female) and Facebook (about 57% female). There is a lot of functionality in Xbox LIVE that appeals to women. With Xbox LIVE parties, users can connect and share gaming experiences with friends on the same couch or across the country. Women are an important audience for us, and we're offering a variety of entertainment experiences that will appeal to them."

Game companies are attempting to meet all demographics, but a recent study found that
there are more strides to be made. Dmitri Williams, a communications researcher at the University of Southern California, told Fox News that "The game industry has not focused on women, even though women are 38 percent of all players... I'm [still] the target audience, a white guy in my 30s," said Dmitri, "but the country doesn't look like me anymore."

Despite increased efforts, developers still have a lot to learn about Latino representation. There remains a glaring lack of Latino characters at just 2 percent, even though Latinos make up 12.5 percent of gamers.

"Studies of Latino children show they play more per day than white children," Williams said. "They're a minority, but very large minority."

To find resources for female gamers, visit womengamers.com, female-gamer.com and follow @TraceyJohn on Twitter — she's awesome.

"Find Your Love," Drake's latest collaboration with Kanye West, was released early Thursday morning (April 29) on the Young Money rapper's web site (though it has since been taken down due to bandwidth issues).

The second official single off Drake's forthcoming release Thank Me Later (in stores June 15) is produced by West and features double-drum beats under sentimental, relationship-driven lyrics: "Refuse to be forgotten / I took a chance with my heart / And I feel it taking over / I better find your loving / I better find your heart."

The track is Drake's third collaboration with West, who directed the "Best I Ever Had" video and joined Drake, Lil Wayne and Eminem on "Forever."

A sincere Kanye fan, last year Drake told MTV News that Ye was "the most influential person on his sound."

"Before I ever got the chance to meet him, Kanye West shaped a lot of what I do, as far as music goes. We always, always, always took the time to listen to Kanye's music and appreciate it beyond. We searched the samples and find out where his inspiration came from, because he has one of the best ears in music, period. He knows how to recognize great music that's not his. He knows how to utilize great sounds and great music. So before I met him, I had the utmost respect for Kanye West. I'd even go as far as to say he's the most influential person, as far as a musician, that I'd ever had in my life."

Drake shot the video for "Find Your Love" earlier this month in Jamaica and had this to say about the experience:

"We went to Kingston. They call it the 'gully' side. It's bad out there, real bad. They had 'Young Money' sprayed on the gates, 'Drake and Wayne.' I'm talking about you drive by people's homes, they had 'Drake,' 'Young Money,' 'Drake, Welcome Here,' 'Drake We Love You' — crazy sh--, man. It was so crazy. This dude was like, 'Original Weezy tha God! You tha boss! Weezy tha God!' It's crazy. They love us, 'cause we show love out there."

Currently on his Away From Home Tour, Drake has 8 more stops, including tonight's performance in Lowell, Michigan.  For a full list of tour dates, head over to Ticketmaster. In addition to his mixtape classics and "Over," the lead single off the new album which debuted in March, the Toronto emcee has also been performing "Shut it Down" which features The-Dream and leaked shortly after "Over," along with "Fireworks."

More details about Summit Entertainment's "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" were announced yesterday and Team Blogamole has everything you need to know, right here!

Based on the fourth book in Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series (for the uninitiated, check out this series of videos with Meyer), the film will be released sometime in 2011. There is still no word as to whether the 754-page book will be split up into two films a la "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows."

Directer: Bill Condon

Condon, who beat out Gus Van Sant and Sofia Coppola for the gig, is well known for directing movies such as "Dreamgirls," "Kinsey," and "Gods and Monsters." He also wrote the screenplay for the movie adaptation of the musical "Chicago."

Some of the cast already approves - Ashley Greene told MTV last month that "if [Condon] were to direct, I'd be right there in his ear going, 'So you know, I used to dance and I can sing.'"

MovieLine weighed in on Condon's strengths and had a few snarky ideas to share about what he could bring to the 'Twilight' franchise, including this one:

"...Covered so many aspects of human sexuality in Kinsey — including man-on-wife, man-on-Sarsgaard, wasp-on-wasp, and WASP-on-WASP — that Breaking Dawn’s taboo-breaking love scenes of girl-on-vampire and teenage-boy-on-vampire-baby should be a cinch."

Added Stephenie Meyer, "I'm so thrilled that Bill wants to work with us. I think he's going to be a great fit, and I'm excited to see what he does with the material."

Writer: Melissa Rosenberg

With all previous "Twilight" scripts under her belt, Rosenberg is prepared to take on the epic finale that will more than likely rely heavily on CGI. The screenwriter is committed to making sure "Breaking Dawn" is rated PG-13 (as the two earlier films were) - with nothing from the story sacrificed in the process.

"That's your audience," she told Film.com. "In this series, you don't sacrifice anything. There are some movies that wouldn't play at PG-13, like 'The Hangover,' but this is just not one of them for me. Again, if you're capturing character, emotion and emotional journey, you're OK."

It will be interesting to see what Rosenberg does with the book's complex and graphic storylines, which include the birth of a half-vampire, half-human baby.

Confirmed Cast (so far): Kristen Stewart (Bella), Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen), Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black), Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen), Anna Kendrick (Jessica) and Peter Facinelli (Dr. Carlisle Cullen)

Back in January, MTV News asked the "Breaking Dawn" cast to reveal anything they could share about the production.

They were understandably secretive, but here is something Kristen shared:

Title Origins

"Breaking Dawn" is a reference to the beginning of Bella's life as a newborn vampire. The cover is a metaphor for Bella's progression throughout the entire series; she began as the physically weakest player on the board, the pawn, but at the end she becomes the strongest, the queen.

Rumors

There are many, but we've isolated the top 4:

Production Dates
It seems the production will start in October. According to Ok! Magazine, some of the Twilight cast members were making an appearance at a Twi convention and were asked about Breaking Dawn filming. Kristen Stewart said "We don't know yet," but Christian Serratos, who plays Angela in the movies jumped in and said "No, October."

Location
The Twilight cast may be headed back to Vancouver, but with scenes in the movie which would include a wedding, a birth and many more, it's possible that one location on it's own won't suffice.

One Movie Or Two?
"Breaking Dawn" is supposed to be the fourth and final movie in the popular Twilight vampire series, so the burning question - will Breaking Dawn be broken into two movies - has been circulating for some time. Today's announcement didn't say it would only be one movie, which is to say the Breaking Dawn two movie rumor is still going strong.

If two films are made, Summit will have to negotiate new deals with the main cast (Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner) since they are only under contract for four films.

3D/IMAX
By now we know that 'Eclipse' will be in IMAX but not 3D, so what formats can we expect for 'Breaking Dawn'?

How To Prepare
"The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" will hit theaters on June 30. Go see it, wear the ring, read all the books again and prepare yourself for the final (or, part 1 of the final?) "Twilight" movie!

The rumors surrounding Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem's pending nuptials have been swirling for months, but the National Enquirer is now confirming that la pareja will marry this summer!

Pene and Javier reportedly plan on tying the knot in a small intimate wedding surrounded by their closest friends and family in Spain. Felicidades!

The couple began dating in 2007, but first met back in 1992 while filming Jamon, Jamon.

Adding fuel to the wedding rumors are new claims that Penelope may be preggers! Guanabee snagged the scoop via Facebook. The couple's friend, Magaly Solier, posted pics with both Pene and Javier with the captions, “FUTURA MAMA/PAPA?… FELICITACIONES!!!”

Of course the question mark makes the claim a bit skeptical, but we'd definitely love to see the duo turn into a trio. Pene has always said she's wanted kids:

“I want to have babies one day. When I do it I want to do it really well. I want it to be my best project in life. I don’t know if I believe in marriage. I believe in family, love and children. I have a tendency to become a mother to everyone around me. My brother and sister are always complaining that I’m too protective.”

Sounds like a perfect mami to us!

Tr3s Comunidad, do you think Pene and Javier will marry this summer? Weigh in on the chisme below, or @MTV3!

This Thursday (April 29) marks the 100th anniversary of the House of the Americas, a building in Washington, D.C. that houses the Organization of American States (OAS). As a structure that represents the strength and passion of a race that will continue to grow and meet all the challenges we are faced with today, we at Tr3s want to tip our hat in honor of its centennial.

This historic building also features a museum that showcases a permanent collection of 20th-century Latin American and Caribbean art. It is one of the most important collections of its kind in the United States.

House of the Americas

To commemorate the Centennial of the building, the OAS Art Museum of the Americas announces the opening of House of the Americas Turns 100: Paul Philippe Cret and the Architecture of Dialogue, an exhibition with a collection of original plans and drawings of its architect, Paul Philippe Cret.

The House of the Americas Turns 100 exhibition will be free and open to the public from April 30 - July 5. The museum is located at 201 18th Street in Washington, DC.

For over a hundred years (since 1889 in fact!), the OAS has been supporting democracy, promoting human rights, strengthening peace and security and encouraging economic, social and cultural development and justice en nuestros países Latinos y Caribeños. The organization, which is comprised of all 35 nations within the Americas, was established as a way to help our nations work together to peacefully and efficiently address and mediate conflicts.

Last week’s new "Twilight Eclipse" trailer sent many fans (including Oprah!) into a frenzy. If you're feeling blue about this being "the final" trailer, YouTube has got you covered — some genius took the last two 'Eclipse' trailers and created a mashup that is full of win.

Are you screaming yet?! Twi-Hard merch lovers, here's the latest:

MTV UK recently announced that fans will soon be able to wear a ring just like Bella’s in "Twilight Eclipse"! Stephenie Meyer has teamed up with Infinite Jewelry Co. to work on the flash memorabilia.

In the latest film, Edward Cullen presents his love Bella with an engagement ring and now fans can feel part of the event — for a price, of course. The sparkling gold ring will reportedly cost $2,000, although a much cheaper $35 version is also set to hit shops.

We're sorry to report that RPattz does not come with the ring (sad face).

"Twilight Eclipse" will be released in theaters (standard and IMAX) on June 30th.

Tr3s Comunidad, was the mashup glorious, or what? Will you buy an 'Eclipse' ring? Sound off in the comments or @MTV3!

It's time for another Fashion Face-Off! With Vanessa Hudgens gracing NYLON's annual Young Hollywood issue (out now!), we were inspired to find another musical starlet to pit her against: Miranda Cosgrove.

Both are of mixed cultural backgrounds, have long brunette locks and are from Southern California.

There are cool music projects happening for both as well: Cosgrove's debut full-length studio album, Sparks Fly dropped today (April 27) and Hudgens will star in the Broadway hit "Rent" (August 6 - 8 at the Hollywood Bowl).

Both chicas are super talented, but who has the most style?

Miranda is know to incorporate eclectic prints and bright colors in both her street and red carpet ensembles, while Vanessa is the queen of the “Three C’s”: Comfy, Classy and Chic.

Tr3s Comunidad, you decide! Compare some different looks — then post your verdict in the comments (click on the images for a closer look). Here we go!

"The Gold Dress"

http://blogamole.mtvtr3s.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/hudgens_golddress.jpg

Miranda poses backstage during Brooks & Dunn's "The Last Rodeo Show" on April 19, while Vanessa gives serious face at the Inaugural St Jude's "Estralla Por La Vida" Gala on April 6.

Both dresses are gold and above the knee, but Miranda's has a metallic sheen and a spotted pattern. We're not crazy about the open-toed heels; they look too mature in contrast with the youthful bias of the dress. Vanessa's look is definitely more "adult" - her form fitting tube dress screams "vamp" and she's working those black pumps!

"Spring Stunners"

x

We love both of these colorful looks! Miranda wore this sleeveless, rose colored dress to Nickelodeon's 23rd Annual Kids' Choice Awards on March 27. The amazing, wrap-around texture pops against her muted, open-toed gold pumps. This look is grown up and classy!

Vanessa was seen shopping in Malibu on April 3, swathed in a chic, purple frock that delicately draped around her slender frame. Her gold accessories and loose locks definitely brought this look together.

View more looks and place your vote, after the jump! Read more...
