Can an incompatible couple pull off getting hitched?
With many celeb couples taking residence in splitsville lately, we wonder if two people that don’t like each other from the jump stand a better chance? You'll find out in the new romantic comedy, "The Proposal." The Touchstone release gives a new meaning to the phrase being "married to your job" when book editor extraordinaire Margaret (Sandra Bullock) asks her mistreated assistant Andrew (Ryan Reynolds) to marry her to avoid deportation.
The plan seems easy enough until his quirky family and immigration gets involved. Can they trick everyone around them into thinking they are a match made in heaven?
Why We Love it: The movie is predictable, but pretty darn funny. Plus, Ryan Reynolds is super lovable as an abused assistant trying to make in the publishing world. For two people that don't get along, his chemistry with Sandra Bullock says otherwise. Oscar Nuñez ("The Office") lends comedic relief in his not one, but almost five different roles from town stripper, waiter and minister. Lastly, you get to hear Sandra Bullock perform her rendition of "It Takes Two" (Rob Base) and "Get Low" (Lil Jon). How can you resist this boda?
Catch "The Proposal" when it hits theaters this Friday, June 19th.
