Pioneering a new era in música no es fácil...

But Flex pioneered the Romantic Style movement with flawless ease. The Panamanian star's mixture of traditional vibes and telenovela-like lyrics have earned him a total of thirteen Latin Billboard nominations (And we thought his first Grammy was a big deal!). The "Dime Si Te Vas Con El" singer is expecting to be double fistin' awards, but he is also staying humble about his noms.
Flex recently spoke about his Latin Billboard noms:
Estamos haciendo historia.
If only Flex were hitting the stage for a live "Te Quiero" rendition (the remix with Belinda would be even sweeter)! Keep it locked for more Billboard news updates aquí! [MTV TR3s Radio Noticias]

“Métele sazón” because Tego Calderon provides all the rest on the dance floor...

Michelle Rodriguez had a nice rendezvous with her "Fast and the Furious" co-star at Celines Toribio celebrity wedding. The actress and (married) reggaetonero were getting their innocent freak on with a couple of merengue and bachata tracks including Héctor Acosta's heart-wrenching classic “El torito." Anyone that knows the 'bachata para hombre' genre knows that it's a slow dancing track that gets the sweat beads flowing.
Luckily Tego doesn't have a jealous wife because we hear M-Rod was feelin' him as a partner! Are you the jealous type that would snag your partner right off the dance floor? We certainly are not. Pa’ que lo sepa...[Wikiton]

If there was any doubt that "17 Again" would be a huge success then hopefully you learn never to underestimate the power of tweens (as if the SNL skit last week wasn't evidence enough!).
Zac Efron annihilated the competition with his back-to-high-school comedy "17 Again," which earned $24.1 million in the box office this weekend. Grown-up movie "State of Play" didn't stand a chance against the Disney cult following! Sorry Ben Affleck, your young hunk glory days are O-V-E-R. So, who has the power to make or break movies these days??? Surveys revealed that 76 percent of opening-night audience members are female, with 43 percent under the age of 18. No wonder everyone falls drools over these flicks.
Now just imagine if the triple threat heartthrob aspires to become the next JT! Find out if his musical dreams will make the final album cut and what tracks are on his iPhone right below. Are you surprised? [MTV News]

Kathy Griffin wasn't the only one feeling like a 'gay Barbie' during the 20th Annual GLAAD Awards on Saturday night.

Jessica Alba and countless of estrellas came out to represent the gay, lesbian, and transsexual community live at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. The media awards celebrated the star power willing to fight for equal rights in the entertainment medium and awarded the domestic drama, "Desperate Housewives" and Sean Penn's progressive biopic, "MILK," among others. Latinos including the MTV "Pedro" movie leading lady, Justina Machado, and Broadway veteran, Wilson Cruz, also voiced a prideful message for the LGBT comunidad.
Question is, why did GLAAD supporter Ivy Queen miss this year's festivities? [Los Angeles Times]

Dissing a crazy ex definitely has its perks...

Just ask Fanny Lu. The Colombian singer's colorful break-up song, “Tú No Eres Para Mi” hit the number one spot on Billboard's "Hot Latin Songs" this past week. It's no wonder her sophomore album, "Dos" has received record breaking sales in Latin America. The playful pop star is also the first female to conquer the top slot since Gloria Estefan's "No Llores" (no joke).
We guess breaking-up isn't so hard to do after all. Can we get a 'claro que sí'?! [MTV TR3s Radio Noticias]

Unemployment has become a serious epidemic...

Even the pop world is facing the crisis. Dawn Richard and Aundrea Fimbres were the last women standing in the chart-topping group Danity Kane - that is until recently. The pint-sized Latina member was fired by the big shot mogul during the recent episode of "Making the Band 4." The DK singers attempted to keep their shine as a group after Aubrey O'Day and D. Woods were also given the boot last season, but unfortunately Ms. Fimbres was the next chica to rub Puff the wrong way.
P. Diddy mentioned in regards to dismissing Aundrea:
You're a great person, you're a great girl, but if I did another group, I wouldn't feel comfortable doing a group with you. I've given a lot of thought and I'm gonna let you out your contract too.
Oh snap! We guess Dawn is the last one standing. Find out what she dished to MTV News about Diddy's work ethic and more. Do you think he should have dropped Aundrea? [MTV News]
