Simply breathtaking...

Those are the only words we can think of to describe Salma Hayek's picture perfect European wedding to François-Henri Pinault on Saturday. According to People, the couple hosted an extravagant ceremony complete with all-star guests at the Venice's Teatro La Fenice. The famous opera house pulsated with music right after the nupitals were shared, and Salma's celeb amigas including, Penélope Cruz, Charlize Theron, and Ashley Judd helped bring in la música by singing a special rendition of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow."

We hear the celebration continued way pass 3 a.m. The Mexican actress changed into a fuchsia cocktail dress for the grande fiesta, but it was her ivory Balenciaga-designed gown that illuminated la noche. Felicidades! [People]

We win some and we lose some...

Juan Antonio Bayona will no longer be directing the third installment of Twilight titled, "Eclipse." Summit Entertainment executives wrestled between J.A., Drew Barrymore, and David Slade as the final candidates responsible for bringing to light the darkest series in the vampire saga. Unfortunately "The Orphanage" director lost his seat to David Slate, who is set to visualize Bella's most heartbreaking decision.

Stephanie Meyer recently commented on David's new role:

He's a visionary filmmaker who has so much to offer this franchise. From the beginning, we've been blessed with wonderful directorial talent for the Twilight Saga, and I'm so happy that 'Eclipse' will be carrying on with that tradition.

Die hard Twlighters certainly hope he is the best man for the role. What do you think? [MTV News]

It is no wonder why Dayana Mendoza won the Miss Universe crown...

The Venezuelan bombshell was one of the only classic beauties walking the red carpet at the Latin Billboards last night. Her look was all about keeping it simple and sexy in a black embroidered gown and deep plunge neckline. However, negro was not the main color of la noche. Most celebs opted for a splash of rainbow colors including bright violet, yellow, and pink. We must say there were more worst dressed victims than winners, but you decide for yourself...

Best Booty Pose

Gloria Trevi's lace sun-kissed gown vs. Paulina Rubio's very-mini violet dress and silver pumps.

Best Dressed Hombre

Don Omar and Daddy Yankee's crisp tuxes vs. Aventura's dressy casual steez.

Best Bright Belleza

Ivy Queen's satin sunrise strapless gown vs. Fanny Lu's bubblegum pink vestido.

Worst Dressed (a.k.a. Not Green With Envy)

Maria Fernanda Yepes' wannabe J.Lo's Grammy Versace dress vs. Elizabeth Perez's sofrito green gown.

The "Down to Earth" duo have beef to pick with airport law enforcement...

Alexis y Fido were recently detained in relation to fraud after concert promoters purchased their tickets to Nashville, Tennesse with a stolen credit card. The reggaetoneros were traveling to the state for a special performance last Tuesday. According to the Puerto Rican newspaper El Vocero, the Boricua stars admit that they were treated like dogs by airport security. However, Alexis y Fido assure their fans that they cooperated with authorities and flew to Miami once the situation was ironed out.

The "Ojos Que No Ven" singers think that the incident was fueled by discrimination. Fido revealed:

Viví hace mucho tiempo en Estados Unidos y cuando empiezan con cosas de racismo hay que cogerlo con calma. Nos mantuvimos tranquilos.

We are glad the fellas kept their cool. Have you experienced similar discrimination? Speak-out aquí! [People en Español]
