TV You'll Watch & Lie About: The Cougar

Nothing makes a morning commute better than a new subway or bus poster advertising the latest brainchild of reality tv execs.

The Cougar, a new show from the executive producer of The Bachelor, is sleezing its way into your tivo favorites.  Hosted by Miss Over 40 Thang Vivica A. Fox, The Cougar follows Stacey, a 'beautiful, blonde mother of four' who believes age is 'simply a number' as she dates her way through a series of twentysomething boy toys.

The rundown is reminiscent of The Bachelor: Stacey presents weekly challenges to her pool of barely legal men, narrowing down los hombres from twenty to ten to five.  What's the Cougar equivalent of turning in your knives, being kicked off the island or getting the Auf Wiedersehen from Heidi Klum?  A kiss on the cheek.  What better way to say 'I like you, pero como tu mamá -- now tie your shoelaces and stand up straight.'

In a recent press release reality vet (Glam God, Dancing With The Stars) and fellow cougar (50 Cent) Vivica A. Fox said about the show:

[It] will prove to be empowering and enlightening for women everywhere. Plus, 20 hot guys gathered under one roof doesn't hurt!

The only thing that could make this spot more enticing was if Stacey was more past-her-prime and embarrassing.  This waspy rubia needs a few more 'Cougarlike' calidades.  Maybe Mariah could teach Stacey a thing or two about living up la vida robacunas in style!
