Wilmer Valderrama joins the quickly growing list of Latino celeb activists with his new PETA misión.
The "That 70's Show" star has a clear message: unless it's Britney Spears' circus, he wants no part of the show. The 29-year-old just shot a PSA in order to draw attention to the plight of animals in circuses. In it, Wilmer takes viewers behind-the-scenes of the big top for a look at the lives of abused animales and urges familias to boycott these shows.
He also talks about his own experiences with the circus as a child in Venezuela. Find out his thoughts after the jump!
A lot of our small towns where I lived in there were a lot of circuses that would come in and out, and it was always a lot more depressing than fun, you know, because you started noticing a lot of the scars on [the animals'] legs, a lot of the hair was removed, and, you know, as a kid it was hard to wonder, you know, how they got those scars - that they were forced to do things by fear.
You can catch the PSA here. A Spanish-language version will begin airing in Puerto Rico when Ringling Bros. arrives there in March 2009. [Peta.org]
