Pitbull is adding his own sophisticated swagger to el fin de semana during the Florida-based concert series, "Súper Sábados." The music festival is set to go off on April 11th, and will also include performances by Venezuelan salsero, Oscar D’León and Tito Nieves, among others. We recently spoke to the Los Premios Billboard-nominee about preparing his Boatlift follow-up album.

The Cubano states:

Word is that Selena Gomez is already prepping for her upcoming debut album...

And wants to collaborate with "Love Story" singer, Taylor Swift. These chicas have more than their love for the JoBros in common - they share the country vibe too. According to AceShowbiz.com, the Disney star was impressed by the live collaboration Taylor and Miley Cyrus remixed for the Grammy Awards, and has already spoken to Swift about uniting for a duet. Selena's album is due out in July.

The Rebelde star filmed a topless scene for the new soap opera currently airing in Mexico. Without a doubt, showing Dulce's mangoes is bound to bring in a high peak in ratings, but at what cost?

Pop champán! Ivy Queen is still celebrating her 2009 Premio Billboard nominations...

La Caballota has been rolling in feliz spirits since hearing about her triple category noms, including "Hot Latin Song of the Year" for "Dime." Ms. Queen is standing-up against the 'chacalosa' reina, Jenni Rivera and our "MTV Unplugged" super estrella, Julieta Venegas. Regardless of who claims the throne, don't expect a catfight to break out. Ivy Queen and las chicas radiate more girl power than the infamous Spice Girls.

Nortec Collective is sharing the Tijuana vibe with the rest of el mundo...

One electro-norteño song at a time. The Grammy-nominated group didn't snag the award for “Best Latin Rock Or Alternative Album,” but they continue to dominate the underground scene con fuerza. Main members, Pepe Mogt and Ramon Amezcua launched their Mexican national tour in February, and are planning on also hitting-up the U.S. and Canada.

Art imitates life or life imitates art...

We forgot which way it goes, but in any case it looks like politics is imitating pop culture in this presidency. In an effort to illustrate President Obama's first 100 days in office Newsweek has launched a satirical lil' web series called "The District." The show clearly mimics the format of MTV's "The City." All key elements for solid programming are in place:

1.) Catchy show title derived from show's location

2.) 1st person narration and intelligent vocab like "frenemies"

3.) Dramatic and glossy photo montage of cast paired with songs-of-the-moment soundtrack

Now all we have to do is wait and watch the drama unfold in the nation's capital!

Catch this week's webisode where Barack gets a rude awakening: the Republicans are just not that into him. The soundtrack features none other than Dominican diva Kat Deluna's single "Unstoppable." Watch it here.

Latinos have made rice and beans as versatile as mashed potatoes and gravy...

Which explains why the classic side is David Archuleta's favorite food combo. Forget the Big Mac with fries, the Honduran-American singer is all about grubbing on comida Latinoamericana. The 18-year-old recently confessed that he thinks he looks weird on-screen, but trust us, he wouldn't even have that build or voice if it weren't for those mighty beans (Black, red, pink, and white frijoles apply).

He exclusively reveals:

What would you put on a plate with arroz con frijoles… you’d have tortillas of course you’d have carne y pollo I mean anything really. It seems like everything goes with that when it comes to the Latin culture of food. It’s like you know it’s a combo, instead of French fries you have arroz con frijoles, you know.

We think that's a way healthier combo. Now, can someone please give David a self-image check!

Would Tatiana Nicole Del Toro's rendition of "Saving All My Love For You" make Whitney Houston proud?

One thing is for sure, the judges were impressed and perplexed (a good combination by Paula Abdul's standards). The 24-year-old contestant from San Juan, Puerto Rico served-up a dramatic performance while wearing a summer vestido fit for Betty Suarez. Truth of the matter is that her love for fuchsia and tangerine-colored outfits isn't want shakes her likability. According to the newbie judge, Kara DioGuardi the main pregunta is "Where does she fit?"
