Will Akon End Up "Locked Up" After Heated Trial?

News on Akon's dramatic trial has been heating up since the "Smack That" singer was charged with "endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment" for allegedly throwing a teen fan offstage and injuring an audience member during a concert back in June 2007.

The "Konvicted" star reported to a court hearing this morning, which resulted in Fishkill Town Justice Harold Epstein setting the official trial date for Dec. 1st. If convicted, Akon can be "Locked Up" for a maximum of 1 year and 15 days in prison.

Akon's attorney Andrea Zellan is currently attempting to save her client by reaching a deal outside of court. We hope this fella is counting is rosary beads because his legal troubles are looking mighty hellish right now! [E! Online]
