It's A Family Affair: Latinos Represent In 2008 Olympics

Latinos have already claimed the universe, and now we're ready to take Beijing. While athletes across the world have dreams of gold at this summer's Olympics, we'll keep nuestros ojos on our gente - one family in particular.

Allow us to introduce the Lopez familia (no not George's TV family). We're talking about the "First Family of Taekwondo." Siblings Diana (23), Mark (25), and Steven (29) have been studying the martial arts since their family immigrated to the USA from Nicaragua in 1972. Having a huge respect for martial arts, their papi enrolled oldest brother Jean in a taekwondo school and it soon became a family affair.

Jean went on to become a two-time Pan American Champion and silver medalist at the world championships. Ahora, Jean will accompany his siblings in Beijing...as their coach. Juntos, they are the first family to compete together in the Olympic Games since 1904.

Now we have a good reason to stay tuned to this year's Olympics! Qué viva la raza!
