When we started reporting on Daddy Yankee's support of GOP nominee John McCain, we heard your reactions loud and clear:
I dont know how much daddy yankee was paid for this where is my man Tego Calderon can you put this kid in place please -- rushay, in response to post "Daddy Yankee: McCain Is A Fighter for the Hispanic Community"
If I could speak to DY I would tell him that this can be the worst decision of your career. McCain is going to receive DYs Support and lose the election. DY MIGHT AS WELL SAY GEORGE W. BUSH IS DOING GOOD FOR Puerto Rico -- Daddy Obama, in response to post "Is Daddy Yankee Voting McCain for President?"
what???? he better not vote for mccain that is whack! -- Jenni, in response to post "Is Daddy Yankee Voting McCain for President?"
Fans of El Rey del Reggaeton aren't the only ones speaking out. One of biggest (no pun intended) advocates for change in the Hispanic community, Fat Joe, had biting words to say about his GOP-huggin' hermano to MTV News:
Put this in the MTV News headline: 'Fat Joe Says Daddy Yankee Is a Sellout.' Just like that!

Barack Obama's historical speech at the 2008 Democratic National Convention last night left the blue states (and us -- Que viva Obama!) in awe. What also left us speechless was the plethora of fashion faux pas in the open air auditorium. How many pantsuits, red-white-blue suit schemes and straw hats can you stand?!
Saving Dems from fashion fatality was Jennifer Lopez, fabulous in rojo from head to toe. On Day 3 of the convention JLo stepped out to host a DNC event at the Denver Art Museum in Colorado. Playing the political part in a calf length, studded red sheath dress and 60's flip coiffure, JLo worked First Lady fashion as if she were on the ticket.
JLo, along with Viacom (holla!) and Capitol File Magazine honored the President of the Children's Defense Fund, Marian Wright Edelman, at this private event. Joining JLo was prime-time producer J.J Abrams, MTV VJ Sway, and Latino políticos Bill Richardson (Governor of New Mexico), Congressman Xavier Becerra, US Senator Ken Salazar and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.
New madre JLo expressed her interest in the Children's Defense Fund and emphasized protecting los niños, the future generation:
The world is a different place for me now that I've had children. I want to set an example for my children on how to live their lives.
You have to instill that charitable, philanthropic spirit. Be loud. Vote for your children. Vote for your nation. I realized I could be a lightning rod. I can bring attention to issues people aren't listening to.
After the jump, more photos of JLo at the event & pics of celebs livin' it up in Denver during the week's festivities.

Daddy Yankee is holding the mic for John McCain in more ways than one! It turns out that reggaetonero is set to perform at the Fiesta Americana Concert as part of the Republican Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota.

This is certainly going to be a different crowd for Mr. Yankee. Word is that 3,000 convention delegates and special guests are said to be attending the performance and we can only imagine what kind of "Pose" John McCain and the rest of the attendees will throw out. We guarantee these stiff blanquitos won't know what hit them! [MTV News]

According to reports, La Caballota has been hating on the Puerto Rican duo's six-Grammy win by calling them a fake urban rap group. Rumors eventually reached El Visitante's hood, which inspired the rapero to address La Reina's disses in the group's new track “Q lloren.”
