From his raw performance in the 2000 film "Amores Perros" to his poetic aventuras as Ernesto "Che" Guevara in the modern-day classic "The Motorcycle Diaries," Gael García Bernal always delivers a grade-A performance. Now the producer and director of "Déficit" is hitting the silver screen again to show off a new sinfully addicting character.
The talented güey has been offered the leading role in the adaptation of Chilean novel "Los Detectives Salvajes." The screenplay depicts the story of two detectives on a quest to find a writer that has disappeared named Cesárea Tinajero. Word is that the director, Carlos Sama, exclusively requested that Gael join the film, which will show in theaters next year.
The two are still 'in talks' about sealing the deal. If Gael is game for the production, we're sure la película will achieve high Hollywood acclaim. [Es Mas]
