Next week, on May 17, begins ALAS, El Concierto Por Los Niños, and we have the breaking news of the line-up that will take place in Buenos Aires and Mexico City! Starting with Mexico, fans over there will be graced with the presence of Aleks Syntek, Ana Torroja, Babasonicos, Chayanne, David Bisbal, Diego Torres, Emmanuel, Juan Luis Guerra, Juanes, Los Tigres del Norte, Maná, Miguel Bose, Ricardo Montaner, Ricky Martin, Timbiriche and Tania Libertad. This show starts at 5pm en El Zócalo a.k.a La Plaza de la Constitución where only 200,000 fans can come to the venue on a first arrival basis.

Cross over to South American and you’ll find Argentina partying with Alejandro Sanz, Calle 13, Fito Paez, Gustavo Cerati, Jorge Drexler, La Portuaria, Paulina Rubio, Pedro Aznar and Shakira at the Costanera Sur for this mega-show! Already 90,000 free tickets out of 120,000 were distributed in just one week for Buenos Aires para ALAS which starts at 2pm local time.

In honor of ALAS -- and for those of us unlucky chavos who will be missing out on this huge event! -- MTV Tr3s will be hosting Shakirama Weekend on the day of the concert -- May 17 -- for your daily dose of Shakira. Hey, it beats not being able to see Shaki at all for that weekend.

Cruising the halls of Mi TRL we hear lots of stuff in passing. Alexis y Fido cracking jokes by the green room, Carlos Santos rushing over to the bathroom after his interview with the fellas…but the mega-gossip we were surprised to hear was Three 6 Mafia’s love for Mexican rapper Down a.k.a. Kilo. Both artists met at a local bar in Texas by chance and had a good ol’ time. Ah yes, we know the equation: drinks + men = fun. You can tell Three 6 Mafia were smitten with Down since they gave him a special shout out in their video for “Lolli Lolli”. They also revealed -- to us only by the way -- their hopes of collaborating with the “Lean Like A Cholo” star soon. We see it now, 36M + Down = super hit! Remember to catch these guys on Mi TRL tomorrow at 4pm for all the live action!

Raunchy guy humor and a cynical pregnant teen are the shining stars at this year’s MTV Movie Awards. “Superbad” and “Juno” take the nomination for Best Movie despite some major competish with mega-action flicks like “I Am Legend,” “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End,” “Transformers” and “National Treasure: Book of Secrets.” Those money-guzzling blockbusters got nothing on low budget flicks! Did Will Smith really need to have all those computer animated zombies? Did “Transformers” have to have explosives in every five minutes of the film? Did Johnny Depp really need to be in a pirate boat? Okay, maybe they did but we’re super stoked that “Juno” and “Superbad” were able to make the cut along these movie giants. Get on over to MTV Movie Awards to check out the rest of the nominees and vote for who will take home that bucket of palomitas de maíz on June 1!

Even though Pee Wee has plans on putting out a solo album in hopes of boosting his singing career once again, Cruz Martínez is asking Pee Wee to forget about it! Well not literally but Cruz is definitely leaving the door open for Pee Wee to make a switch from solo star to "Reyes" star. We support Pee Wee with whatever he does but do you think he should join Los Super Reyes and be in a band once again or can this little güey cut it as a solo act?
